Silva's Sheldon Inn stands alone as an established and traditional fine-dining restaurant among a city full of cookie-cutter chain restaurants. Their utilization of seasonal product is refreshing, and their herbs are taken straight from their abundant and ever-changing vegetable and herb garden. For example, summertime brings their garden-grown heirloom tomato and mozzarella appetizer; in the wintertime, you'l love the pumpkin cheesecake. The filet mignon and rib-eye are always cooked perfectly to your request. If you're not up to those, then the skirt steak is a wonderful alternative. Portuguese bean soup is their specialty soup and is infinitely better than ""mmm, mmm good."" If you want sweet breads, you may want to call in advance. Silva's Sheldon Inn is great for the family (better, though, if your children are well-behaved), or a night out for just the two of you. My family and I love Silva's Sheldon Inn and will continue to be patrons there for years to come.
