Keep checking around before you buy 8/19/2012

Had 5 quotes HVAC replace. Stopped to soon at this company although they did what they said I believe I could have done alot better after talking to several others who recently replaced unit. I replaced a 18 year old Nordyne unit which was cooling fine but some minor problems and alot of rust around the a coil made me decide to replace The new unit according to the sales rep. was going to save me money on my power bill. So far power bill is the same or a little higher after 3 months. Called them out to check because air was not feeling near as cold as old unit. Well they did send someone he gave me the immpression I had bothered him and said nothings wrong OK. Well I lived here for 18 years you would think I would know if somethings not right. Still no power saving have since replaced dryer and hot water heater trying to get power bill down. Try another company get plenty of quotes. and check the satisfaction of others before you buy.. Lesson learned these lessons hurt cost lots of $$$ more

DONT use this company,unless you want to get ripped off!!!! 8/9/2011

Do NOT use this company, they will rip you off!!!! I called them for a repair, and after $900 in charges, the unit stopped working within a week, they came back and charged me another $100 for a contacter, then a few days later it stopped again for a loose wire. Then a few weeks later it froze up due to low freon, (that they put in), While looking for a leak, they found something else wrong, $325. Then they made me wait 2 days until I finally went to pick the part up so they could fix it, they said they couldn't go get it because they could do 2 or 3 more service calls in the time it took to pick up! The part cost $49, Less than an hour to install, $325 !!! When I complained to the BBB, they sent me a bill for a trip charge of $68! The owner, Daryl Hopper is a jerk and would not work with me at all. more

Where is the negative rating? 3/15/2011

I give them 5 stars for staying in business this long. Rarely do I rate companies and tend to rate companies very well compared to the service I receive. In this case if there was a negative rating this poorly run company they should have it. Three separate cases where I received bad service so it's time the cancel the contract and find someone else. more

Dont waste your monies with this company !!! 7/27/2010

This company will come to your home fairly quick and check your equipment and charge a service call and not have time to do any repairs..( they say there too busy ) \r \r You will pay the trip fee and they will tell you what they think, but unable to do any work !!\r \r All I can say is if you want to waste your monies call Shelby heat and air from Shelby or Forrest City NC ( same company )\r \r if service is needed call a company that will do you good and give you a fair deal.... this is not a good company !!! more

WHAT A RIPP OFF !!!!! 7/26/2010

ONE STAR RATING TO TOO GOOD FOR THIS COMPANY !!!\r \r I called Shelby Heat and Air and the Mgr and owner refused work on a 3 month old goodman unit that I have due to the fact that I had contacted the State of North Carolina about problems with the unit not cooling like it was suppose to. I asked them to fix the unit and the will not due to being scared of the state of north carolina.. what is the big deal with that?? I paid the fees for them to come and correct the problem and got nothing in return but oh well form them.. i can be reached for futher if anyone need at joel29693@yahoo.com I FEEL I WAS RIPPED OFF FOR $68.00 !!!!! more

Shelby Heating & Air Conditioning Incorporated may the business you have been looking for. They are honest, and that says a lot to me. I had trouble with my previous heating and air people, but since I switched to Shelby Heating & Air Conditioning Incorporated that trouble has faded. I trust these people. They came out to give me an estimate for some work, and I was so pleased with them, that I decided to give the job to them. I have never regretted it since then. That was a few years ago. I really like dealing with them because I know up front what to expect unlike my previous heat/air people. I give Shelby Heating & Air Conditioning Incorporated four stars. more

Shelby Heating and Air Conditioning. They are the best. They are the ones I use now. They repair air conditioners and heating units, sell appliances, and also do building maintanence. I do not know about the building maintainence, what they do, because I have never used that service. But I do know what they did for me when I had a problem with my air conditioning and heating unit. They not only came and gave me suggestions to my current unit, but they did what they said they would at the price they said they would. I was very impressed with them, and I will use them in the future. Highly recommended. more
