I have never had a worse experience at any Boston establishment. I enjoy going to Tangierino for hookah and a nice ambiance. I was with some friends and my brothers from out of town, so rather than wait for a table at Tangerino, I decided to risk it at Sheesha Lounge. It was a big mistake. First of all, they do not offer water or even ice for free. This should have been our cue to leave. But we decided to order a hookah, a tea, and an order of samosas. We waited for at least thirty minutes after placing our orders and should have taken our second hint to leave. The hookah only lasted about 10 minutes (they must have skimped on the tobacco), the tea was decent but expensive, and the "samosas" were actually bite-sized hors-d'oeuvres bought frozen from the supermarket. There were three "samosas" in all and so sparse in their filling that one contained only a single pea. A middle-aged woman with tattoes was acting as manager that evening and not only was she condescending and combative, but she also pretended not to understand much of what I was saying. I had to argue with her for over 15 minutes until she finally took the bottled water off the check (which they had taken back, unopened). I regret having even paid for the paltry food we had received. When I got the check, I realized they had charged me for two drinks that I hadn't even ordered. This was not a mistake, but rather an effort to dupe me. They had included an 18% gratuity on the check, which I refused to pay. On my way out, I heard another customer arguing with the manager about his check (they had also billed him for things that he hadn't ordered). When he corrected this and went to pay with a credit card, the manager said that their credit card machine was broken. When the man persisted, saying that he had absolutely no cash, she relented and charged the card without problem. This place is a disgrace and it ruined the night for my friends and me. There is no reason to come here unless you want to support a dishonest business. In respnse to maryjomama's post: Yelp ignore their members. When I wrote a negative review all within the guidelines the site quickly removed it. A"loyal” customer" was angry b/c I didnt like her hot spot and gave it a bad mark. She raised so much H**L that b/c I gave her favorite spot a bad mark that she had yelp remove it. Ive had rebutals from the business owner saying that they were sorry and have cleaned up their act, but Ive never been paid off and my review remained negative. Some businesses WILL AND HAVE HAD employees write positive reviews only and claim that my review is a "lie". So it goes both way. Pros: nothing Cons: service, menu, crowd, smell, hygien more

Disgusting 6/7/2009

This place is disgusting, don't ever go here. first of all, its claustrophobic, second of all its probably the trashiest crowd i've ever seen at a hookah bar, theres always fights, the hookah is tasteless, theres absolutely no authenticity to this place at all. more

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!!! 5/16/2009

Will NEVER EVER go here again! The service is awful and we had the worst female server after this most recent visit. I have had other good experiences there but will never even consider another trip after this past one. We purchased 2 hookahs at $25 EACH plus $5 per extra coal to finish the hookah we already paid for. Then when we got the check we noticed that the waitress had given herself a 36% tip for the 4 people in the group. We asked why she thought it was suitable to give herself a $17 dollar tip on a $55 dollar bill, and her excuse was that we endangered her job and livelihood by bringing in coke bottles that had a small amount of alcohol in them which she dumped out about 20 minutes into the night. She quickly gave us a very rude bitchy attitude and refused to explain anything beyond that her boss "told her to do this if alcohol was found". I find it highly doubtful that her boss told her double an already generous tip because she had to pour out a glass full of ice that she gladly let me sip on until she decided to come and check. And if she was REALLY concerned about her livelihood I would think that she would check our id's when we walked in because not all of us were over 18. This curly headed bit*h ruined our night and made off with a $17 dollar tip and we had to pay $75 for 2 hookahs because she was a greedy c*nt. The sheesha lounge is awful and I will never go back, The Nile down the street looks good now. SCREW this place. Pros: NOTHING Cons: awful, rude, greedy waitress! Overpriced! more

First bad impression 5/3/2009

I really wanted to like this place, since I am an avid shisha fan and love late-night chill places. Unfortunately, I probably won't be going back. We arrived at around 11:45pm and basically we were told that nothing is available on the menu past 11pm. It says nothing about that on the website (in fact, they say it closes at 2am when in fact it closes promptly at 1am). The shisha was not prepared in a traditional manner (too tight of a draw, the use of a really small coal for a giant hookah bowl, $25 for a mediocre/bargain brand of shisha), paid full price for hummus and chips (the chips were straight out of the freezer and there was like....a dollop of hummus), no milk for the beverages (no milk? are you kidding?). I do have to give the staff credit, they were extremely nice and tried to accomodate in every way possible. A lot of improvements have to be made for me to consider going back. Maybe dropping the prices a little bit (or getting quality to justify the price), and more care in the shisha-making. It's a good place if you've never ever ever tried shisha, have a whole lot of money to spend, and are dead bored on a Friday night. Otherwise this place leaves much to be desired. Pros: Extremely nice, courteous staff, cool shisha atmosphere Cons: overpriced, false advertising, low quality shisha and food more

Turn you into fetal position cramps 12/27/2008

I got _VERY_VERY_VERY_ SICK after smoking here, so did my roommates girlfriend (twice). The pipes might not be cleaned properly (they are full of grime, slime and yucky stuff from everybody who has used it in the past). Either it was the pipes or/and what we ate/drank , too random to be coincidence. No wonder the place is always empty, it needs some serious hygien intervention. more

What the best place to CHILL in Boston??? Ck out Sheesha Lounge! So glad my friend turned me on to it.... 12/16/2008

So glad someone finally opened a truly CHILL spot in Boston area that covers all the bases.... This is the BEST hookah lounge or lounge period I have ever been to! They get it.... real Middle Eastern feel but not overkill! Very diverse music selection....big enough not to get smoked out or be on top of other people....amazing decor and vibe all around! Great hookah selection, eclectic lite fare, great pricing, dim lighting with plenty of seating including VIP areas which are secluded...cool for first date!!! Do yourself a favor and check this place out! I actually drive an hour to chill here.... Boston...consider yourself lucky!!!! caio Pros: Parking not a problem, ample room to chill, great music, best smoke in Boston!!! Cons: It isn't closer to me :( more

If you like to CHILL you will lobe this lounge especially if you have been across the pond!!! 10/31/2008

\This location was a total CHILL expereince..., this reminded me of the ultra cool expereince of being back in the EMEA regions...Europe, Middle East and Asia. For any of you that is familar with that culture and lifestyle. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! They need to be open all right into the morning but I don;t that happens here in the States.... There loss! more
