High Praise 8/29/2010

I recently had the occasion to ask for special treatment regarding an affair I was attending. I had to be at my appointed place at an early hour and looking my best. I asked to come in the same day. . .early, so I could accomplish this important task. Peggy and her staff agreed to do this and I was treated as usual with the greatest of care and attention. Being a long-time client I'm use to this service from Shear Design and sometimes take it for granted. I thought it was time to publicly say thank you to Peggy and her staff for making me feel special and being very accommodating to my needs. Shirley K. more

Love It 9/9/2009

I love this place. I've been getting my hair cut here for years. I've also taken advantage of the spa for pedicures, manicures, massages and facials. All the staff is well trained and very professional. The facility is clean and modern, everything you would expect from a spa. Prices are right in line with any other salon/spas. I now take my kids for their hair cuts and the staff is very accommodating. I would recommend Shear Design for all the amenities they offer. more

Louis is gone! 2/2/2009

You are so write about Louis! He is the best and now he is gone. I called to make appt. with him and they told me he resigned. I have no idea where he went. He was the only person who knew how to cut my hair! Pros: It is a nice enviroment , but some staff seems fake, especially desk girls. Cons: Louis is gone! more

I went To Shear Design a couple weeks ago for a hair cut & was very disappointed. First off, the cut was almost $60.00. Which I don't mind paying that much but the cut was definitely not worth it.If I'm paying $60.00 I better walk out of there happy. I have gotten way better cuts & paid half the price. I went there after seeing a commercial on TV about it & then I passed by it & it looked like a nice place so I thought I would give it a shot. I also thought the staff was snobbish & stuck up. When I got there & just got off work & had a rough day. I was not exactly dressed to impressed. Some of the girls that work there were looking me up & done like I didn't belong there. I definitely would not go back. more

Love it, had our daughter's wedding party hair and makeup done there. Very nice , professional staff.\r \r Made us feel like we were the ONLY people there! more

You feel like a princess when you enter the building. The workers there are so friendly and professional. I used them for my wedding and treat family members there for Birthdays, Christmas,etc. Hooray for Shear Design. more

I have been there numerous times and Louis is the best. Very professional environment. I don't know about the other stylists but he's real good, especially for ethnic hair. Pros: I only know that Louis is a great stylist for ethnic hair Cons: Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment for a Saturday. You have to schedule weeks in advance. more

this is the only spa i go to, and here's why: wonderful service, friendly staff, variety of services, deals on packages! this is a beautiful spa located inside an old church - it has a warm and luxorious feel. the prices are reasonable and the quality is superior. there are 2 staircases which i was generously helped up by the staff after my surgery last winter. services like massages or facials or waxing are all done in your own private rooms, decorated beautifully with low light and relaxing music. the waxing is one of the least painful i've ever had. the tanning room is also private, and they have disposable undergarments for you so no worries on ruining anything you wear! i've gotten my hair done there, as well as a makeup application - they have a wonderful variety of cosmetics and other beauty products of their own. i highly recommend the AHA mint mask, as well as the papya pumkin masque - not to mention they have a great anti-frizz dream creme! the french manicures and more
