Its a good place to take you dog for a hair cut... Seriously place sucks, I'm a guy and asked for not that much length to be taken off so i could cover a scar. To make a long story short it didn't happen. The guy didnt' take his time putting in layers and I was left with a horrible hair cut. more

Shear Artistry is THE BEST salon in Louisville!! Between the great prices and the great staff, it's one of Louisville's best kept secrets! Ive been going to Jessica Grant for awhile now! She does a wonderful job. She never makes me wait, and knows exactly what Im looking for. We have a routine everytime I go in. I always get a cut, color, and my eyebrows done. i have been going to sidney for highlights for about a year now and everytime she does an AMAZING job! i always walk out extremely pleased and quit going to my hair dresser at home back in ohio because i prefer her to do it. she does a great job of making my blonde hair look more natural and i love that she suggested that i do low lights. she highlighted and low lighted my extensions that i use while i cheer football games and they blend so well. a majoirty of the blondes on the louisville cheerleading team now go to her because of how good my hair looked. I have nothing but good compliments to say about her and recommend her to all of my friends who walk out just as happy as i do! more

Chris Avery has been doing my hair ever since he was in hair school, and he has yet to disappoint. We have had my hair, short, long, red, blonde, brown, black and everything in between. He is a mind reader. I don't even have to tell him what I want done, he just makes me look amazing! I always get the most amazing compliments from my coworkers, friends, or even people on the street. Once, while riding on the back of a motorcycle, a woman walking down the street shouted at me how much she loves my hair. Now that is a style that makes a statement. I have sent many friends and family members to see him and all have been equally pleased. VOTE CHRIS AVERY FOR BEST STYLIST!!!!! more

All I have to say is THANK GOD FOR CHRIS AVERY! He was the most helpful in planning the style for my wedding. He did my color and extensions and airbrushed makeup and my pictures are proof of his excellence. He was amazing in giving me in relaying ideas to me fot the look that I always wanted for my wedding and for my everyday look. I am so glad that he moved back here and I will continue to go to him and send clients to him! Pure Perfection!! more

I walked in with about 5 or so different colors of dye in my hair, my hair was slightly frizzy and super long. I walked out confident, with a huge grin on my face, and for once in the past two years or so I have been wearing my hair down all day long. My hair finally has bounce in it. It frames my face wonderfully, the colors I picked that they put in are wonderful together, and it all is fantastic. The only thing I could think of that was a downfall was when I asked for the price. $130. I also asked them to cut my daughters hair, and even though she (at 2 years old) was squirming a lot, they asked for $10 for cutting a couple of pieces of hair off and making her bangs uneven. So, maybe if they knock off some of the dollars for combos (I got a wash, cut, and dye.) I would be gung ho for going back at least a few times a year, maybe more for other things like nails, makeup and waxing. Pros: perfection. Cons: high prices more

My two little girls go to Lauren and Morgen. They are both really nice and can get the kids in and out before they get bored and out of control.lol. I feel good bringing my girls here because I know they will get a better cut than at most of the kid salons but at a good price to. I think that until they are 12 their cuts are only 15 dollars. Its also nice because its a nice environment and there isnt a bunch of other screaming kids around! I can relax and read a magazine while the girls get their hair trimmed. Really a great place. more

I saw that Sylvia was rated in the Leo magazine as one of the best Extension stylist in Louisville so when i decided that I wanted my hair to be quite a bit longer I gave her a try. She was sooo great. She explained everything really well to me. I could tell she really wanted my extensions to look great for a long time. She told me about products that would make my extensions last longer. She was alot less expensive than other people I had talked to. Plus she was SUPER fast. She has another stylist, Sydne, who is also doing extensions and her client looked beautiful as well. I really think that this salon has it going on! This place is home to some of the coolest stylists I have ever met. The prices, compared to other salons in town , are VERY reasonable. The location is fantastic. I have been back 2 times so far and plan to be back many more. more

I agree with susie, this is a great place to go. I see Sidney and she is really good. Its hard to find a person to cut mens hair that is not the same ol baber shop cut. my wife gets her hair colored by morgan i think and it always looks good too more

Shear Artistry has a really great staff. I have been seeing Sylvia for about 6 months now and my daughter goes to Morgan, we both have been really impressed by the knowledge and profesionalism that those girls have. We always look great after we leave! We highly recommend them. The only bad thing is the parking during rush hour.
