They called me a liar and botched my cat's spaying 9/6/2007

I brought my cat to be spayed here and then she proceeded to go into heat on 3 separate occasions within the year and a half after her ""spaying"". The first time it happened I called their office, described my cat's symptoms (posing, howling, extremely affectionate, etc), and they told me that there was no way that the cat could be in heat since they had performed the spay. They said that my cat was ""just being affectionate"" and that she was definitely not in heat.\r I then took her to the Campus Vet Clinic and they performed bloodwork that showed, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that my cat was in heat. After trying steroids during her next two bouts of heat, I finally decided to go with the surgical option. I took her to a specialist and spent $3000 on the surgical procedure to remove remnant ovaries from her botched spaying. The specialist found ovarian cells on both sides.\r The Shattuck Cat Clinic completely botched my cat's spaying, called me a liar, told me I couldn't tell the difference between normal affection and heat, cost me $3000 (in addition to the original price of the spaying), cost me many nights sleep while my cat was in heat, and (most importantly) cost my cat three bouts of heat, a tough (day-long) surgery (again, in addition to the original spaying), and a length recovery. Cons: Lots more

caring, attentive, heroic 9/3/2003

My elderly cat has arthritis, sleep apnea, and liver disease. Other vets ignored his symptoms (and denied that cats ever suffered apnea) and recommended heart surgery. Dr. Graham spotted everything immed., validated her diagnoses, then recommended solid, conservative therapies. Her practice is tiny. She's smart, creative, and witty. The testimonials on her wall are a huge testament to her skill. I will have to deal with Beau's mortality soon, but I think I'll get through it better with Dr. Graham. And at least I'll know we did everything we could to help him heal, and to live more comfortably. Pros: parking, open Saturdays, intimate practice more
