Sharper Impressions Painting

I don't understand how Sharper Impressions is still in business. With what they did to my house and my husband and I, I can't understand how anyone would give them a good review. We hired them to do interior painting. Even though they they advertise a ""color consultation"", none was ever done or offered and I had to pick samples and do that legwork myself- not a huge deal. I made it clear that I could only have the work done if it could be completed in 2 days as my husband and I are in the medical profession and work 7 days/week. I was assured by the owner it would be. The very first day of painting, the owner showed up over an hour late with NO phone call and did not answer my phone calls. Should have cancelled the job right then! On day THREE of painting, they/we discovered they had painted over a room that was wallpapered and the paint was bubbling/falling off the walls. (This was a day my husband was forced to take off from work.) On day FOUR- another day we had to cancel plans so that they could CORRECT their work, a new set of painters show up an hour late again with no phone call. Similar to the last review, the painters trashed my house. I found paint spots on our carpets, on our bed (which they threw their tools on) and on the tile floor in our entryway. There were also leaves and dirt tracked all over my house as they walked in and out of the house in their socks. I had to vacuum every day so my pets didn't eat the debris and my beige carpets are now filthy. We also had to move a lot of the furniture back ourselves. I deeply regret hiring them to paint our house and cannot believe I had to pay them to do this to us! I could've and should've done the job myself- it would've turned out better. When you are paying someone for a service, the least you should get is the service promised. The workers are messy and not skilled at all. The owner supervising them is just as unprofessional. I had a terrible experience with Sharper Impressions. I hired them to do wallpaper removal and repaint my entire interior. Bottom line: ALWAYS late - sometimes (even the owner) would not show up for planned meetings. Two coats of paint? NO WAY. Try one dilluted coat at best. I can see right through it. TERRIBLE. Waallpaper REMOVAL? I think not. Try, lightly peeled off, horrible (I could have done better myself) retexturing and again, a sloppy coat of VERY thin paint. Unskilled workers, they will trash your house, at least they will if unoccupied, mine was treated like a construction site. Numerous missed appointments, I literally had a worker knocking on my door unannounced at 9:00 PM on a Friday to try and do some corrective work (I say corrective work because the work was so bad that ""touch ups"" is a term that does not do justice). 9:00 PM after 3 missed appointments throughout the week. I finally gave up and had to pay a handyman to rehang the blinds they removed, do touch up, retexturing, and re-roll some of the more visible walls. Don't be fooled, I looked at his references too. But I thought I would go on here and post for those that may have also had a bad experience. I can't imagine that with as many problems I had that this is an isolated experience. We were getting the exterior of our home painted before my son's graduation party. My wife was running around like a crazy woman getting everything together, the food, decorations, etc. She put me in charge of the painting job since she was too busy to deal with it. The guys were nice, clean and quick; it was probably the easiest responsibility when it came to getting things ready for the party. The job was completed on time. We've already received many compliments and I've recommended Sharper Impressions Painting Company to neighbors. The crew was great and I'm very satisfied. We were trying to sell our home but the realtor told us we really needed to get some wood rot replaced on the exterior trim of our home and should repaint to update the colors a bit. This sounded like a lot of work on a house that we were just trying to sell. We got a flyer in the mail with a discount on the wood rot repair and painting if we went with Sharper Impressions; we called and had them out for a free quote and the price was surprisingly reasonable considering we were looking for a basic paint job. I was shocked to see how much more response we got from our listing with the new paint colors. We ended up selling the house 10 days after the painters finished the work. It was worth the time and effort to have them complete the work professionally; we plan to use Sharper Impressions when we?re ready to paint our new home. I am so excited about the work that Sharper Impressions did on my home I just had to share my experience. From start to finish everyone was wonderful. They have great customer service standards and hold themselves accountable for those standards. My husband travels a lot with work so he trusts me to make the decorating decisions. I was in a time crunch trying to repaint most of the rooms inside my home in ten days, as a surprise for my husband when he returned home. Carter was great to give me a heck of a price; so I signed up immediately for the work and had the color consultant out in just 2 days. She was great and took the time to pick out all the colors I would need. Carter knew I was in a hurry so he set the crew up to start the very next day. The work was done super quickly but very neatly and my husband loved the new feel of our home. Sharper made the whole thing fun and enjoyable instead of stressful; so thankful for their work!!!
