Sharp Shooters Small Arms Range

Gilbert Small Arms Range is now called Sharp Shooters Small Arms Range (http://www.sharpshootersva.com/) and is an indoor shooting range in the Springfield/Lorton area. The membership cost is affordable and, from what I hear, among the least expensive in the area. The staff is knowledgeable about guns and how to shoot. One con is that the range is the same temperature as outside, so when it is summer, you sweat inside the range. (Their website says that they have air conditioning, but that's not what I was told by the employees, and everyone sweated.) Note that I have not yet purchased anything from their store, although they appear to carry many products (handguns, shotguns, rifles, ammo, collectibles) and have reasonable prices. If you are a beginner, look into the training program offered by ARES, which includes free bullets and shooting for one hour at Sharp Shooters after the in-class training. Gilbert's Range has been around a long time. One of the few indoor ranges in the area. The range is primarily for handguns and is frequented by many military and police personnel. The store area is well supplied with knowledgeable staff and offers try it before you buy and gun rentals along with gunsmith services. Prices are very reasonable.\r \r Highly recommended. more
