Food was great and even dining alone, the bartender had just the right amount of interaction to make the visit enjoyable.

Love this place! 4/11/2011

I frequent there at least three times a week and have never had a bad experience. Walking through the front door you feel like you are in Destin. The girls at the front desk are always friendly and very helpful. Each meal I have had there has been hot and full of flavor. My favorite dish is the Grouper Ponchartrain. I never leave hungry nor feel like the prices are too high. I send my best to Sharky's and will dine there every chance I get. Keep up the great work! more

food is incredible 4/7/2011

I have read all of the reviews and I cant help but think of sour grapes. I think the place rocks. The is food is incredible, The people are great, I feel like I am on vacation every time I walk in the door. Did your mom ever tell you that is you cant say something nice, than stick some crab in your mouth. more

Food was AMAZING 4/5/2011

We recently (3/11) ate at Sharky's and it was wonderful. Our food was amazing and the service great. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was perfect! We also had a sushi roll and it was excellent. My shrimp and grits was spicy and so good! Our son had the mac and cheese and he nearly licked the plate! The scallops were the best I have had in many years. Our desserts of white chocolate bread pudding and key lime pie were the perfect conclusion, Do not miss this place!!!!! more

rocking my world 3/30/2011

I think that was due, in part, to the delicious Appletinis paired with blackened sashimi tuna. It was definitely rocking my world that day. They carry a great selection of mixed drinks, wine, and imported and domestic beer. While it's a restaurant, I didn't feel out of place keeping the food simple and focusing mainly on drinks with friends. more

Will continue to go back 3/29/2011

I've been to Sharky's three times and will definitely continue to go back. The sushi and brunch are amongst my favorite menu items.The staff was very friendly and quick. I definitely recommend this place for famililes, dates, business dinners, etc. more

wow so much better 3/28/2011

We had the Alapachicola oysters, wow so much better than any Lousiana oysters we have had in Memphis. From the minute we walked in we thought we were on vacation, great decor and the food was better than we had on our last trip to Destin. Can't wait to get back. more

Best Oysters 3/21/2011

I went here with my g/f and some other buddies for a drink or two. Great service and great drinks. The oysters were prettied good too. Out of the 3 or 4 places I've had oysters in Memphis, Sharky's had the best. more

Great Food and Great Service 3/16/2011

Sharky's has knocked my socks off.  What a great concept.  I started with a dozen oysters from Apalachicola Bay.  I eat oysters everywhere I go and it's nice to know that Sharky's carries the best oyster on the half shell in Memphis.   For dinner, I decided on the Halibut.  It was grilled perfectly with a flavor of citrus herb.   The prices are very reasonable and the portions are just perfect.  The service was the best I have had awhile. more

Very Good 3/14/2011

Very good cajun grilled oysters & raw too. The sushi is just as good as Osaka, Benihana, etc. The screen in patio is a plus, and isnt busy yet either. I'll go back to try more for sure. more

Best Seafood 3/8/2011

I visited Sharky's for the first time last night.  The food and service was fantastic.  I started with their Bacon Wrapped shrimp that was cooked perfectly.  The sauce had a sweet taste and complemented the shirmp perfectly.  For dinner, I decided to try the Grouper.  With the coastal feel, I was sure the Grouper would be fantastic and I was wright.  I had it lightly blackened with citrus butter on the side.  It's was nice I was able to choose my side since most Restaurants in Memphis don't give you choices.  For dessert I had the Key Lime pie which you could tell was made fresh not frozen.  The decor inside was very clean and comfortable.  I definitely will be back and will tell all about the jewel I've found.  Thank you Sharky's! more

Will be back 3/4/2011

Recently went to dinner with a group of friends. Decided to try out Sharkys. The oysters were fabulous.... by far best in town. Was very excited to see their extensive wine list. Great food, service and ambiance! Looking forward to dining at Sharkys again soon. Hats off to you guys! more

Impressed to say the least 2/24/2011

I went last Wednesday with my wife because we wanted to try something different. From the outside the place looked jam packed but walking in, we found the bar had open seating and a one man band. Great bar, great food and great band!!! Impressed to say the least. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp and work your way to the 18oz ribeye!!! I did. more

WOW 2/22/2011

All I can say is WOW! The bar, dining room, service and food was fantastic. There was live music on the patio. It made me feel like I was on vacation. A group of friends and I heard about their Wednesday nights and decided to give it a try. We were not planning on dinner but after looking at everything we made an evening out of it. The staff was very friendly and looked like they really enjoyed working their. My complements to the Chef. We will return and will tell all our friends. more

Fresh Seafood 2/15/2011

Sharky's has good, fresh seafood and a nice bar and outdoor patio. I like the atmosphere, it's a good place to go with friends and listen to live music, usually it's acoustic and not too loud. I have been with girlfriends on the patio and my husband and I had dinner at the bar. Each time the food was good. I've had the coconut crusted shrimp appetizer and the grilled grouper. Both were great. They have sushi, that is next on my list to try. It's looks good, I just have not tired it here yet. Seafood is my favorite thing to eat and it's hard to find good seafood in Memphis. Sharky's is defintiely fresh and a great seafood option in East Memphis. more

can't wait to come back! 2/10/2011

Sharky's blew all my expectations out of the water! Not only was the food perfect but the bar/cocktail area is really rocking! Coconut shrimp was delicious, my boyfriend and I split the baked oysters (Crumbly Bacon-mmmmmm) I got the grouper ponchartrain which melted in my mouth; my boyfriend couldnt stop eating his swordfish with the thai coconut sauce. Cant wait to come back! more

Fresh selections 2/7/2011

Sharky's is a fantastic idea! I frequent the beaches of Florida and am always excited about eating out for the great fresh seafood. Now, I have found it in Memphis! There is outstanding selection, reasonable prices and an atmosphere that will have you planning your next beach vacation. Sharky's has even gone to great lengths to include sushi with it's fresh selections. This is landmark people! At least for Memphis. Crossing boundaries into a world that is traditionally Japanese and certainly never found in an American seafood house. I applaud because I found the Sushi to be shockingly STELLAR! Some favorites from my numerous visits: New England Clam Chowder / Sashimi Tuna / Iceberg Wedge salad / Steamed Shrimp / all of the oysters (really good) / Steamed Crab legs / Blackened Swordfish / Grilled Seafood Platter / Cheese Grit Croquette ( so good) / Sushi faves: Red Hot Roll , Gecko Roll. Thanks Sharky's for bringing Florida to me! more

Attentive with all smiles 2/1/2011

My friend and I decided to eat dinner at Sharky's last Wednesday night. We started our dinner with their "Grilled Appetizer Trio" which was a sampler of Sashimi, Crab cakes, and bacon wrapped shrimp. I noticed they also had a fried trio appetizer. The food was prepared correctily with fantastic flavor. I order the Pumpkin Swordfish with a citrus butter buerre blanc for dinner. It was tender, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Key lime pie for dessert was the perfect finish. The key lime was prepared fresh just as everything else. The Restaurant was full and everyone seemed to enjoyed themselves. Once we finished our dinner we decided to head for the patio and listen to the live music they have every Wednesday. The waitstaff was very attentive with all smiles. We will definetly be back and will tell all our friends about this great jewel we have found on Poplar Avenue. more
