Customer service is not that this company is all about. \r

I had decided not to use Shannon Landscape because I was tired of repeatedly trying to connect with them by phone. My last call I left yet another voice mail asking them to call me — I was trying to schedule a date for them to do the work. While waiting for the return call my wife and I decided we had had enough of their abusive customer service and would tell them we were not going to use them.\r

When the receptionist called back I politely stated we would not be using them. I was quickly cut off with “I don't think we can ever satisfy you . Good by”, click. She hung up on me! This was after having Brian Shannon — who seemed nice, confident, and knowledgeable — not return three (3) phone calls I made to his cell. Before this, I was ready to have them do the work, but had a couple of basic questions I forgot to ask Brian when he was here. When I called the office number to try to reach him I had to keep calling at different times to reach anyone. I think I had one return call. Brian seemed puzzled that I had called. Doesn't he listen to his voice mail? It says ""I will get right back to you""! The woman I spoke with there (Marry?), the one who hung up on me, was always making excuses for how they ran their business and “they are so busy” and why “they couldn't return calls” etc. I am busy too but I don't understand how a business can have this type of attitude and think it is OK. Especially when you advertise it as a family business; it does have your name on the sign folks. Shame on you Shannon. \r

Another reviewer said it best: “Phone calls take forever to be returned, if ever. If you are able to talk to the receptionist, she's snippy at times and quite unprofessional. “ I don't recommend Shannon Landscape. There are plenty of landscapers out there who truly want your business and are willing to work for your respect. I don't respect snippy, unprofessional, businesses with an attitude. Portland is a small town and you can't treat people in this manner without consequences. Word gets around.
