The late 60s-early 70s hippie-style with colorful beads and surfer girls with long hair, for some that's paradise, for me, that's Shangri-La. The ambiance in the this charming diner on Cherokee's Antique Row will get your good food and a very, very reasonable price and the taste that'll have you licking your fingers till you're way out the door. On my two visits there so far, and i plan to go back for more, I got 1/2 order of French Toast for $2.00, some tea for $1.50, and the biggest, and healthiest, Hostess-like cupcake i've ever seen.
there was real chocolate in that baby!
Kids friendly and mouthful inviting, this place was great on Sunday brunch. At $11/head, I ate 4 platefuls of food and dessert and even tried a bit of the fish taco (to my suprsise it was good). the best place in the neighborhood, hands down. :)
comeout here and enjoy the hostess. great people from the neighborhood, great atmosphere, while all healthy for you.
