The first time I went there the food was horrible and the service was anything but good, but this place is a dive/sports bar (don't think it is an Irish pub, it isn't) so I didn't feel the need to give it a bad review, bad service from a girl in a short skirt and poor food is kind of typical for many ""Irish Pubs"" in So. Cal. I probably would have given them 2 stars based upon this alone.
However, tonight a band of some of my friends was playing, so I went down to support them. As I was walking in the bouncer told me ""Hey you can't come in with that hat."" To which I thought he was joking and said ""Ha, ha, you ain't a Dodger fan,"" and kept walking in. His demeanor changed and said you need to leave, or take your hat to your car. Again I said, ""You got to be kidding me."" Well he wasn't, and he informed me that they do not allow anyone with a LA hat to come in side. Imagine that, a sports bar less than 50mi from Dodger Stadium and you can't go in wearing anything that says LA.
The worst thing is that this is a new policy, the last time I was in I wore a Dodger hat. Forget freedom in America, you won't find it at Shamrocks. Don't support these oppressors of freedom. Don't give Shamrocks a dime.
