Highly recommend! 3/12/2011

Our experience at Shampoodle in Clifton Park, was very positive. The woman who worked there( her name escapes me) was very nice, helpful, warm and friendly. Our dog is very apprehensive when it comes to strangers, but she was very relaxed with the attendant and the attendant made her feel very much at ease. The products provided to give your dog a bath were excellent too. She even got a free treat to take along. I will definitely return and I thank Shampoodle for providing this excellent , convenient service. Willow thanks you too. more

Don't go there 2/22/2011

Wagmore is the owner of shampoodle. she put in her own comment. not cool more

not keen on the owner.... 11/17/2009

I was in the delmar store when the owner was having an argument with an employee. She was very irresponsible in her actions and her words. I will not go back.. i felt horrible for the employee and wanted to tell her to just walk out and respect herself. I hope she did. I called back and was told the owners name is Ginny, she should not have a business and needs to get some class. Which from her actions that day will take a very long time. more

What a Great Idea! 10/29/2009

I live in an apartment with two large hairy dogs and washing them in my bathtub has always been a hassle, not to mention it kills my back. Shampoodle has saved me from these problems. I just take my pups, and they have everything you need to wash your dog. And the best part... you leave the mess behind! They also offer full service washes (for a higher price) where you can drop your doggie off for an hour and the girls will wash for you. I also get my dogs groomed here, and I am picky because my dogs have very breed specific cuts, and so far I have been extremely pleased with the turn out. Not to mention they are cheaper than the chain stores and they only keep your dog for as long as it takes them to do the groom, which means your dog gets individual attention the whole time and they are not put in a cage with a dryer on them for hours at a time. They also opened up a larger space in Clifton Park with doggie day care. This looks like a ton of fun for the dogs and I will be trying it soon. Finally the girls who work at the store are very friendly and are always willing to help with whatever you need. Definitely check it out it will make your life much easier. Pros: No Cages, Very Clean, Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff Cons: Haven't found any yet... more

The best Doggie Spa in the Capital District 10/7/2009

I've been using Shampoodle for 5 years now. I wash my dogs myself and the friendly staff helps me if I need it - they give me the right combs & rakes to use for their fur, special shampoos- whatever I need & I get to leave the mess behind. Sometimes I have errands to run & I have them wash the dogs. They do a great job! You can tell they all love dogs, especially the owner! I can't say enough good things about Shampoodle - if you have a dog and haven't been there you don't know what you are missing! Go in with dirty dogs, leave with clean ones in no time. There's one in Clifton Park now. Their new website is shampoodledogwash Pros: clean, friendly, everything your pup needs to get clean more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE 4/3/2009

I took my golden retriever puppy here a few weeks ago and dropped her off to get washed. When they returned her to me, she had a huge cut on her back leg! The staff/owner denied having anything to do with it although the cut was fresh and still bleeding!! I ended up having to take her to a vet to get the cut cleaned and looked at. DO NOT GO HERE. They don't know how to treat animals (or people!!). You'd be better off washing your dog at home. Pros: n/a Cons: they do not care about the wellbeing of your animal more

Great experiences 7/20/2007

I have used Shampoodle for over a year and have had nothing but great experiences. My dogs love it there, and they are well-treated and always come out looking very clean and well-groomed. The fact that they are not caged means a lot to us. They're also less expensive than the chain stores. When you have multiple pets, this really adds up! Once, there was a mix-up in scheduling, and they went out of their way to accommodate getting both dogs in before a long car trip - having clean dogs made a 17 hour trip more pleasant!! Pros: Convenient, no cages, they love my dogs more

Avoid at all cost!!! 6/23/2007

If you are looking to wash your dog yourself, Shampoodle does provide adequate accommodations. However, if you are looking for a place to have your dog groomed, I would not recommend this place anymore. I used to be a frequent visitor of Shampoodle to have my dog groomed. The groomer they had there did an amazing job. Her quality of work is the only reason I over looked the rude attitude of the owner, and continued to go. Pros: Do-it yourself has raised tubs. Grooming, you don't have to leave your dog there all day. Cons: Rude owner, incompetent groomers and poor customer service. more
