worth every penny 3/2/2009

30 years of using shalvis taxidermy the best desions i ever made. they just finished my african bag. the detail is just fantastic. the animals look better mounted up then when they were alive. attenion to detail realy is there trade mark. the family shalvis are wonderfull people. i was so overwhelmed with there work that i felt they helped complete my dream of hunting in africa , i tipped them just like i did the staff in africa. believe me they are worth every penny. Phone Etiquette- Not Professional 1/21/2009

I agree, not friendly on the phone - the phone call is the first opportunity any store has to make an impression & no matter how busy they are or how frustrated they are with whatever, I had nothing to do with it. I shouldn't feel as if I am interupting something by making this phone call. I work hard for my money & am not about to spend it somewhere I am treated rudely. more

Unfriendly 10/24/2008

I called to make an inquiry and was treated very rudely. I will never go here and recommend that you find a friendlier taxidermist. I suspect the other review was written by an employee. more

Best artistic talent that I haver ever seen. 4/21/2008

I know what artistic talent is and John the owner is the best I have ever seen. His finished product of his animal mounts look as if they are alive. The business is family owned and you can tell this as soon as you walk into the doors, everyone is so nice they make you feel like they have known you a lifetime. John enjoys hearing hunting stories and he has quite alot to also tell you if you ask. The prices are very reasonable for such an artistic talent. I have seen alot of other taxidermists works and nothing compares to Shalvis Taxidermy. Pros: Great talent, personable service more
