Shalimar has such a good reputation, my husband and I have gone to eat there many times. It's always packed, and the people in there are not white people, which leads me to believe it's got a lot of authenticity going for it. My difficulty with Shalimar is the vegetarian food. The menu seems very unbalanced, with meat being the star. As a vegetarian, I'm left with few choices. My husband, on the other hand, who eats meat, loves Shalimar. I find the dishes very oily and very heavy. So this restaurant seems like a very different experience depending on whether or not you enjoy meat, so I give it a review of "good" as the average of these two extremes.
