I am getting married in May and found my bridesmaid dresses at Shaely Bugs. When I saw that the price was the lowest I had seen I was happy to tell the girls about it and two of them ordered from the store. All seemed well in the beginning until one of the girls was asked to pay a rush fee and the other, who ordered one week later was not. Little did I know, this was only where the problems would begin. The girl who ordered first was told that their dress would ship on April 11 and that it would take 7-10 days to arrive. When she did not hear back from the store by April 24 she called and was told by the manager that due to an accounting issue the designer would not release the dress and went on to say that she would still be responsible for the rush charge and that because it's prom season those dresses were the stores priority. I guess I didn't realize that a dress for a May wedding was less important than a prom dress, my bad. Although the store knew that the dress was not going to be shipped they did not bother to call and if my bridesmaid would not have called them she would have no idea what was happening with the dress. On top of all of that the girl who ordered a week later was called on April 19 and was told that her dress was in (remember, she did not pay a rush charge).
The issue of the dress not coming in and the rush aside we received terrible service, Michelle, the manager, was very rude telling us that we should just feel lucky that we were not being charged extra because the price of the dress went up at the first of the year (because they never changed the tag) and that she was not being charged the extra tax because the tax has gone up since she ordered. My bridesmaid went on to say that she will make sure to tell everyone she knows about this experience and that the stores business will be affected. To that Michelle said, "My business is just fine, thank you," and "Go ahead and tell everyone you know."
My point is this, although this did not happen directly to me, this could have seriously affected my wedding, which I do not appreciate. Also, I have never seen someone at any store be so disrespectful to a customer and completely disregard the feelings of that customer.
