I hadn't cut my hair in months so I was looking for a really good stylist at a decent price. I really recommend Homa. I'm so glad I found Shadows Hair Salon. I have been sylist shopping for sometime now and have finally found a stylist who actually listens to what I want my hair to look like. Her name is Marjan. She gives a beautiful hair cut and the thing I like most about her is that she know how to cut more than one style. She uses different techiniques depending on the desired outcome. I also love her highliting technique--she takes her time to do a beautiful color. Thanks Marjan. I finally found my stylist. more

I apologize for it taking me this long to finally write my review. I went to this salon back in late June after reading the reviews on line. I am very selective of who does my hair and moved here from Vegas recently. I booked an appointment for full highlights. When I arrived for my appt. with Marjan I was told by her that she just didn't have time to do that, partial was all I could get. I was okay with this figuring I would be back in 2 months and we could proceed. When I asked her to add platinum and honey highlights to lighten my hair (which I do every summer) she ARGUED me that it would never work. After I insisted on what I wanted she turned to the stylist next to her, explained what I wanted and he recited the color #'s she wanted (justifying my request was not stupid). When she finally took the foils out she honestly said ""wow, it's lighter"". Then the hair cut came, I have a layer hair cut. She complained the entire time about where I had previously gotten my hair cut because it was the worst cut ever, I now have the worst hair cut of my entire life. It is two layers long and one half way up from the longest length. It is horrible and embarrassing. On top of that the area that she did foil was a good 1/2"" from the roots. That is NOT what I expect from a quality salon at all. I will be driving down to La Jolla, CA from now on to see my old hair dresser down there, the 1 hr drive each way is worth it to never have to go to this salon again (5 min. from my house). more

I went to Mahshid today because I had messed up my hair very badly. I colored it too dark, then too light, then red (and I look very bad in red). My cut had no design to it. My eyebrows were a mess..... Basically looking at myself in the mirror was torture! Now I am BEAUTIFUL and it's all thanks to Mahshid. She truly did MAGIC! I have been receiving comments all day about how pretty my hair looks and how my eyebrows are so beautiful. Now I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror! more

I found the Shadows Hair on line...I got sooooo lucky to find myself at the hands of Marjan! Marjan is a great hair stylist. She was very professional and personable. loved the hair cut and am in love with my new hair color and highlights. I recommend her highly. I have gone back to her many times and will for rest of my life LOL! more

I have searched high and low for a stylist that knows what he/she is doing when it comes to weaving my hair blonde, making it blonde (not yellow) and doesn't damage my hair in the process. I always go to get my hair colored at Shadows and Marjan is my stylist. I just got my hair done this past Saturday and when I went into work today, I got a lot of compliments. Marjan takes the time to correctly color my hair instead of slapping bleach on top of bleach like most stylist do. I can finally be blonde without my hair being fried. I absolutely love her! She is very experienced and is licensed in two countries to do hair. The salon is a gold mine in the fact that they offer so many different services besides just the normal cut and color. I've been a client for tha past 3 years and Shohre, my stylist, does my hair everytime and she does a great job indeed, and recently, about a month ago I did the Keratin treatment as she recommended it so many times before and I LOVED IT. my hair was so dry and damaged after many times of coloring and bleeching.now is much less freezy and more managable. anyway just wanted to pay my duessssss.. Dez Antonetti is in my opinion one of the top 5 male or female stylists in southern california. He makes you feel very comfortable and makes each hair cut work for you hair style. Pays close attention to every detail. I recommend him over anyone else more

I usually don't write reviews, but I HAD to write about Mahshid. I went to her to get my hair permanently straightened and I couldn't be happier with the result. I can confidently say she is one of the best stylists in town and I am so happy that I've finally found a stylist I can trust!! She is absolutly an experienced and skillful stylist with an eye for beauty. I am not an easy client to work with and always have a hard time choosing a hair style, but she nicely and patiently spent extra time and helped me pick a hair style that suits my hair and face the best. She knows how to work with your hair texure and give you your best look. Also, she is a very sweet and down to earth person and puts her heart into her work. I have been getting so many compliments for my hair, that I decided to recomand her to everyone in Irvine. Girls, take my word, I promise that you will NOT be disappointed. So i found shadows hair online and decided to go in. Mahshid did my hair and let me tell you shes an amazing person as well as stylist. I dont get off of work till later during the day so usually i cant find a stylist who is willing to stay in well beyond business hours to do my hair, but she did not mind at all. She gave me a consultation and tried to understand exactly what i wanted. Im a little too picky when it comes to my hair so it took a while. But at the end my hair color and cut came out even better than what i had pictured. I absolutely love my hair, i feel like i have been wasting my time and money all these years not knowing Mahshid. I recommend her to anybody and everybody and i dono what some of these people are talking about her being a bad stylist and a mean person. shes wonderful and i will not be going anywhere else as long as i know her. I just found Sara through one of my friend from church I go , she did amazing hair cut and color on my damage and over process hair, before she start coloring , she gave me haircut and deep DNA treatment on my hair ,then she colored it. I'm telling you guys ask her about here deep conditioning DNA treatment. My hair look healthy and beautiful now I highly recommend SARA at shadows hair. Pros: good service and good price more

I am very picky when it comes to getting my hair cut. That's why I don't do it often since I'm afraid all the time it took my hair to grow would be chopped off in minutes. I was paired up with Nancy as my stylist and she did an awesome job. I printed out a sample of the hair style I liked from the internet and she cut and styled it perfectly! I am truly pleased with Nancy's work. I would definitely recommend a cut from Shadows salon. The staff is friendly, the location convenient, and the decor is very modern and warm. The owner, Mashid, cut & styled my hair & she was brilliant! Our hair dresser moved out of the area to LA & so we've had difficulty finding someone as good as him. I had a really negative experience at another salon in Irvine, so I hadn't been to another hairdresser for several months. I was very wary of trying out a new place but my hair was looking so bad that I really needed to take the plunge. Even when a hair dresser cuts well, I don't usually like the way they dry/style my hair, but in this case, I really loved it when it was finished. All this without a picture even to show what I was after! I will definitely be back & I will be taking my daughter there too. In fact, I usually think it's very extravagant to make an appointment just for styling, but now I feel that if I have a special occasion to attend, I will definitely think of making an appointment with Mashid. more
