On the surface, Shadowood looks like a nice place to live. It's on two buslines, so if you are a student and you don't have a car, that is a huge plus. Also, it's very quiet at night, but what does that matter, it is WAY overpriced. I started out there with a 2-bedroom townhouse, lots of space for a single couple(really small kitchen by the way), but it was too expensive for my girlfriend and I, so we opted for the smaller and relatively cheaper 1-bedroom. When I say cheaper I mean it was $579 a month for around 450+ sq. ft.! That's terrible, and by the time we were about to move out, they were going to raise the rent on us! Uncool! The management also, somehow, lost any records of our deposits, saying we never did pay our deposit, and then after we complained numerous times the deposit receipts were miraculously found. Then when it came time to inquire about when our deposit would be returned to us, they said we would not be getting it back because the apartment was not cleaned! It's THEIR job to do that anyways, and management has changed nearly three times(it seems) since we moved in, so whoever was managing the office when we left was barely aware that my girlfriend and I were even tenents! All in all, not a pleasent expereince to say the least. I'm not an angry person by any lengths, but I have no reservations recommending that you look elsewhere for an apartment. Overpriced, run-down, incompitent management, terrible maintenece program, but quiet! Don't bother!
Pros: queit
Cons: everything else you could think of in an apartment complex
