Sew It All

My family has used Martha’s Sew It All for both bridal and normal alteration services. The service is outstanding; the pricing is fair and competitive. The alterations are completely professional and definitely durable. I have always been delighted by the service that I have received. I spoke to Marha about having Military patches sewn onto my husbands jacket and vest. I was told, drop off, ready next day. I dropped off Thurs. and was told Sat pick up. I arrived to her working on the jacket as I walked in. The vest was on the counter..she wasn't even sure where things were to be applied. I went over it completely 3 days prior. (In writing). She then said, give me a half hour. I did. Only to discover, she still was far from finished..and the vest pockets were sewn SHUT. I said, Oh my gosh..your a seamstress, I thought you would get this right...she said ""right""? I said..who in there right mind sews vest pockets shut without consent of the customer...her reply?? To fix that its gonna cost you extra!!! The items were not ready for another 3 days. So I made 3 round trips to Concord from my home..38 miles away one way. To be charged more money for her terrible workmanship... so about 175 miles in gas later...I have the items back and would not recommend this business to anyone. I am not a professional seamstress...and have enough common sense to NOT SEW a persons pockets shut,\r Unless ASKED. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Pros: nothing Pro here. Not only does this business do awful work, they charged a rediculous amount of money and didn't do the work. A blind monkey could have tailored me and my sister's dresses better. When I asked for a refund over the phone, the owner was glad to give me half and acknowledged their sub-par work, when I went to pick up the money, she was very nasty and argued with me that she did her half and, even though I paid for both dresses, she would only refund the shotty work for my dress and not my sisters. She became loud and angry and said, ""take the money and get out!!"" I promised that I would make sure everyone knows of their slimy business tactics. Do not go to this business unless you want your clothing to come back worse than it went in. Cons: Terrible work, nasty owner, sky-high prices more
