This is the best place to get peanut rolls. We use these for roast beef and meatball sandwiches for all of our partys. They are cheap too!! The store always smells great. more

Bakery 4/17/2006

This bakery is billed as ?The Italian Specialist?. A full range of baked goods, including pastry trays, cookies, stromboli, and even pizza are staples. I have sampled their doughnuts, cakes, pies, and cookies, with mixed results. The cookies are not always fresh as they could be,. and the quality of their cakes and pies is not as good as some other bakeries I have used. Special orders are given extra attention and are fresh and ready when promised. Depending upon who serves you, the staff can range from very helpful, to downright rude. I use them for office events, but shy away from them for home entertaining more

Serpes Bakery bakes big cakes for all occasions like weddings and birthdays and graduations. I have bought many birthday cakes from Serpes on lots of family members birthdays. I prefer going here instead of a grocery store because here they can personalize the cake. Now at a grocery store they can take a tube of color stuff and write happy birthday dad or a name, but at Serpes they will write it professionally and can include drawings or pictures. They also bake muffins and cookies and all kinds of snacks. more

You can't miss this place, it stands out on Kirkwood Highway and is a bit of a Wilmington legend. My parents went there when they were kids and have fond memories of it. They not only do baked goods, but also pizza, which is unexpected. They really do well, I've never had anything go wrong whenever I've ordered from them. Their bread is delicious! more

Consistently Good Bakery 2/9/2006

Serpe's is a consistently good bakery. Cakes and other desserts are always delicious, nicely presented, ready on time and reasonably priced. Friendly atmosphere. As a good place to stop for club rolls, cookies and other pastries without an order. Always use them for birthday cakes and pastries for parties. Their cold pizza is great! PROS: Good quality, friendly service, reasonable prices CONS: Busy, wait can be longer than anticipated more
