I rated Serenity Springs Spa as "OK" mainly because it was not the spa experience that I was expecting. After visiting the website, I was very excited about trying Serenity Springs Spa. I expected a first-class spa (quiet, relaxing atmosphere, nice decor, etc.), but was sorely disappointed. The "spa" is located behind a fast food restaurant in an old shopping center (first impressions are everything). When you drive up to the spa, you wonder if you're at the right place. When you you're actually in the spa, you have the same thought. The entrance area is appealing enough, but I noticed several things that you would not find in other high class spas (as their website advertises this is)--for example, stained towels. The facial/waxing room is more like a closet, and it had an odd smell.
There is nothing quiet or relaxing about the spa. It is more along the lines of a salon rather than a spa, which is fine if that's what you're looking for. Most of the staff is pretty friendly, just loud. There is a bit of bantering between stylists, which I also found annoying. The prices are not astronomical, but may be a little pricey for the quality of the spa. I was pretty satisfied with the quality of the service, but for me, atmosphere and quality of the spa are also very important. I am willing to go somewhere else and pay more to get that "spa" experience.
To sum up this review, Serenity Springs Spa is OK if you're looking for a reasonably priced, average salon experience. However, if you're hoping to find a spa that will offer a quiet, relaxing experience, you, too, will be disappointed.
