My husband and I tried *EVERYTHING* to unclog our clogged bathtub drain; unscrewing the drain plug, taking out whatever hair we could find; snaking the tub with our snake and the power screwdriver, using hair eating bacteria for a week straight, vinegar and baking soda. No Drano. I hate chemicals. But... my husband went on a quest before we had to fork out hundreds of dollars to a plumber. Not that we mind in any way paying money to a plumber, because we know they earn their money. But it's a week before Christmas!! We're poor! So we opt for chemicals. Actually my husband opted for chemicals, because I was still weighing the damage to the whales against my thrifty nature. He's the smart monkey. And when he went to the hardware store the clerk slipped him the name of the product he should buy. It was ... ""Hair Away"". Just a cupful, we were promised, and overnight the hair would mysteriously disappear and the clog would wash away with an application of boiling hot water. I was highly skeptical, but desperate. Desperate people attempt desperate measures. We bought the ""Hair Away"". It was only 10.00!! We slipped a cup into our bathtub drain, noting that it was highly poisonous and that the slightest whiff might lead to our demise. Well, that may be overdoing it, but it did have warnings. The next morning I woke up early and ran to the kitchen to boil a kettle of water. I had faith, because I'm that kind of girl. I poured the boiling water into the drain, started the water and watched the swirling bathtub water swish down the drain with no obstruction. WOW. IT WORKED. More water!! More water swirling down the drain. I was so happy! My husband and I danced around the bathtub. And theoretically we had 9 more applications for only 10.00. We highly recommend Hair Away. The End. Pros: Clog drain removed overnight as promised
Cons: It's acid or chemicals, I think.
