HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 3/8/2012

I was introduced to Sonia and Sensory Kids by a friend. My daughter had just been diagnosed with Autism and we didnt know where to turn. My daughter was having severe behavioral issues and was lacking in basic social skills. I am happy to say that in the seven months that my daughter has been attending sensory kids she has dramatically increased her socail skills and her behavior has vastly improved. I credit Sonia and her RDI based strategies with these improvements. I would highly recommend Sensory Kids to anyone who has a child with similar problems. Thank you so much Sonia! perfect place for kids with sensory issues 2/15/2012

Excellent approach to Sensory Processing Disorder 2/1/2012

Social Skills Groups 12/23/2011

My son enjoys his social skills group at Sensory Kids in Jersey City. Sonia Zayas has been my son's Occupational Therapist since early intervention at 18 months. Under her guidance, using RDI strategies, my son has made a lot of progress throughout the years. We have since moved out of the area but still return for the weekly social skills groups.   • Sensory Kids in Jersey City, NJ specializes in Sensory, Autism, Apraxia, & other neurological disorders and has an emphasis on motor language, relationship, & thought-process development. The Center dedicates to relationship-based theories and embraces trust, positive emotion, memories, and the facilitation of decreased anxiety for overall mind & body development. During the last 5 years, center director Sonia Zayas and her team have been dedicated to the refinement of intrinsic motoration for social participation. Sensory Kids has developmental groups that range from readiness & awareness to dynamic intelligence/team, collaborative work. The Center has a special drop-off two-hour program for early intervention. This program is designed for children 18 months to 3.5 years and runs from 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm. The facility is complete with 3 Therapy Rooms and a Sensory Gym.
