After spending a summer in Madrid a while back, I've always looked out for Spanish restaurants in Austin. Malaga, not so much. This place was the real deal. Good tortilla espanola, good patatas bravas, good gazpacho, excellent cochinillo asado (""cochinillo segovia""). Only two down points. One was the takeout service - with two kids we do takeout a lot, this place has a to go menu on their web site, so they are sort of geared up for that business, but the packaging was not so good, one of our gazpacho containers spilled on the way out the door into the plastic bag, as did some of the patatas bravas sauce. The paella tasted good, but I don't think they strained the seafood stock adequately before using it to make the rice, there were little bits of shrimp shell in most bites, enough to be bothersome. On the whole though, we enjoyed our meal. I'd definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Good prices, good food
Cons: takeout containers leaky, paella a little chunky
