DO NOT BUY FROM SEE GRINS! YOU WILL REGRET IT! They will sell you a defective coach with a crooked grin and try to avoid any responsibility after it leaves the lot.
We purchased a brand new Heartland Elkridge 5th wheel last September, just before labor day. They claimed to have completed a full inspection prior to me picking it up. They did not. When I picked it up, was missing 6 ceiling lights. They were on back order.
On our first camping trip in the hot water heater did not work along with other minor items. My wife and kids had to take cold showers all weekend. Called their service department in hopes I could fix it myself. They were useless. Noticed other small things like screws missing from overhead light fixtures, dirt and dust in cupboards. When we got home, I made an appointment and dropped it off. Took them 6 weeks to correct the problem after drop off.
Second time we took it out was in November. Heater did not work. We spent the night freezing and went home the next day. Dropped it off again with a list of other small items. Got it back 8 weeks later.
3rd time we took it out was in May. We noticed that there was dirty black water stains in the shower. Upon looking on the roof, I noticed the skylight above the shower was cracked at every fastening screw, electric awning did not extend, black water sewer valve did not close after rinsing the tank and pipes thoroughly, fridge handle broken, fender supports never fastened. I called them after to schedule an appointment. The woman I spoke too said that none of the items were covered. After back and forth for 10 min she agreed to take it later that week.
9 weeks later I called to see what the status of the repairs. Johny said that the only thing remaining was the fridge handle and that he would just take one from another trailer. He said it would be ready "in a few days". A week later, I stopped in to learn that they had not yet started any repair after 10 weeks. Asked to speak to the manager. A big, stupid looking man, that has no business managing a business walked up with attitude, told me parts were on order and that there was nothing they could do. I took the trailer home with nothing fixed. We have owned the new 5th wheel for 11 months. 6 of those months it sat at See Grins. I understand that they did not build it but they sold it too me and made a profit on the sale. They did not inspect it before we bought it and I had to hound them to fix warrantable items and finally, at the direction of the worst manager ever, we took it after 10 weeks without it being repaired. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SEE GRINS EVER AGAIN, nor will any of our friends or family. They are nothing but a bunch of failed used car salesmen swindling the public. Zero stars!!!
