When we needed storage, we were very concerned about security of our stored items, our personal security when on the premises, how clean the units would be, and could we afford the climate controlled unit we really needed for both heat and humidity and for the winter cold.\r \r We could not have been happier with all of the above. There are plenty of security cameras, our questions were answered immediately, and received excellent locks for all family members. The climate controlled unit cost fit our budget, and the unit size for the price was excellent. The unit was incredibly clean and hallway areas very well lit, with an excellent security system for customer protection.\r \r The nice surprises was included the potential use of the SPS moving truck, if and when needed in the future; the availability of hand trucks/dollies to unload from our vehicles; and the excellent ease in rolling the contents right up the cement incline into the facility! Way easy and well planned facility layout!\r \r Our occasional questions continue to be answered with a wonderful attitude of just good old-fashioned courtesy and customer care! Take the time to find this location right along the south side of route 7 in Ashburn along the western border of Sterling, because this might well be among the best kept secrets in Eastern Loudoun County! HIGHLY recommend--wonderful to work with in person, via email, or on the phone -- this is it! more

We used this facility for 9+ years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. It is clean and well kept and the staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Would highly recommend them to anyone with storage needs. more

This is a wonderful, safe, storage place to store your belongings! The management is really nice and extremely involved in keeping everything safe and clean. I see them out cleaning the hallways often, replacing light bulbs and picking up any trash left behind. I toured a few places before picking SPS and they are worth every penny. I have no concerns about the safety of my stuff because the managers live on site and do their job well! more

I have been thoroughly pleased with the service and cleanliness at Ashburn Security Public Storage. Kayce and Ryan take great pride in their facility and in assisting their customers. Whenever I have a question, they have always been able to answer my question and the facility has always been neat and clean when I have gone over. more

Ryan and Kayce are professional, helpful, and responsive. I was in a big hurry when I went in to rent. When I asked if I could get in and out in less than an hour they responded ""We can get you out of here in about 12 minutes."" And they did. So - Is it the most amazing storage facility in the whole USA? - I have no idea. Nobody is going to ooh and aaah over a storage unit. It's an empty place to put your stuff. So it isn't exciting, but it definitely serves one's purposes. Prices are in line with other facilities in the area for a climate controlled unit. Worst criticisms - some corporate policies are a bit odd - for instance, they have to answer the phones with some silly ""it's a great day"" phrase that makes it sound as if you've just called Mr. Rogers' neighborhood. It's off-putting and a little surreal. Another policy that seems weird is that one cannot co-rent a unit with one's spouse/family member/partner/friend. Only one person is on the rental agreement. They give you enough keys for your family members, but only one may be on the lease. That means that if you want to borrow the free move-in truck, the leasee must be present. My husband couldn't run out and pick up the truck while I continued to pack boxes. I had to go with him (even though he was the one who was going to be driving the truck). On the day we borrowed the move-in truck, staff was unaware that the vehicle was having fairly significant steering problems - until we figured it out while driving (which was not optimal). To their credit, when we told of the issue, they immediately took the truck out of circulation and arranged for repairs. Also, on our first day moving stuff into the unit, the baited sticky trap at our closest door had a small dead snake stuck to it. Sort of creepy. But when we told them about it, they removed that trap instantly. All things considered, much better to find its remains in the trap than be confronted with a small creature in your unit. We have never had an experience with a storage facility before, so no point of reference for comparison. By far, the best thing about the facility is the staff. They are smart, prepared, and beyond competent. Whatever corporate is paying them - it isn't enough. more

Security Storage is a well managed facility in a great location. The hallways and grounds are very clean and well maintained. I have had my unit there coming up on 2 years and I love that Ryan and Kayce still know me by name! I feel very safe there while accessing my belongings. Thank you for the wonderful service! more
