Secrets Salon & Spa

I am writing this review based on my facial. So... I went for the 4 layer facial. If the salon is trying to introduce potential clients to come (the regular price for the facial I got is $120) I expect to have professional quality products. Not products from The Body Shop or things purchased from Harmon's Cosmetics, etc (literally!) There is no excuse for their lack of quality in their skincare products. I feel that they are using their friendship/business relationship from Jerseylicious as ploy. I know salons who used high end quality products because it is ""expected"" from a professional stand point. I will NOT be returning to Secrets Salon and Spa until they can guarantee that $120 facials will be used with PROFESSIONAL QUALITY PRODUCTS. Updated Jan 3rd 2012: I went on their website yesterday to find out that the original cost of my facial was $85, NOT $120. So the lady (whom I forgot her name) with long washed out blonde hair who looks like she's in her late 50's blatantly lied to me in order to get a bigger tipped. Not to mention I tipped EXTRA. They will never retain my business again. As for hair salon and QUALITY products I go to Nino Tollis on Browertown Road in West Paterson. I make this comment since the previous lady stated that Secrets REFUSED to let her look at the color product. more

Your review i have personally found to be rediculous. After researching this salon and reading all of the incredible reviews i decides to book my own appointment. I questioned this particular review because i had seen the same review on several sites and all had different names. Also what you said seemed to make no sense. Nevertheless, I booked my color and cut with a wonderful hairdresser named Amanda.My experience was completely contrary to anything you had said.Not only was my stylist completely experienced and professional ,but i couldnt help admire the stylists on each side of me.These were highly talented people with serious experience. Amanda not only works at secrets,but i found out she is a stylist for fox 5 and does the hair for all the top anchors.The man next to me was a platform artist and i couldnt help but watch him work. These definately werent amatuers and i must say i find your review repulsive.I also had the chance to meet the owners who were just wonderful people.it's a shame that people like you have nothing better to do than try and mislead people by writing bad reviews. If this were my business i would research who you are and sue you.Secrets Salon did a wonderful job on my hair and was by far the best salon i have ever visited. more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!This was the ""WORST"" salon EVER! All salons let you blow dry your hair yourself. (if u ask to do it yourself). This place would NOT let me dry my hair for 2 minutes! It was very cold out and it was 8:00 pm and they did not give a crap about letting someone leave with wet hair. WARNING you will NOT get the color brand that u think you WOULD Be getting. I spoke with 2 employes that ""literally"" work there, and they NEVER heard of the color brand that they were going to use with me. these people are scammers! They would NOT let me look at the color before treatment. If a business does NOT let u see the product first that means they are hiding something..ALSO I had color all around my face, hairline, and in my ears and she did NOT get it off for me and it was tuff to get off !! so please trust me do NOT go to this salon. I know scammers when I see them. They made a big deal over everything!! The owners are not trustworthy! AGAIN DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! TRUST ME! I had to rate this review with 1 star, because this site will not let u write a review without putting at least 1 star. and again please trust me they don't even deserve the one star. I didn't have a choice. 1 last comment, I noticed the other reviews and YOU CAN tell they are exaggerated, meaning they are fake !! people just don't write reviews like that.. We booked 2 updo's at the last minute (2 days before our sister's wedding in July). All I can say is THANK GOODNESS we got appointments because WE LOVED SECRETS! Our hair looked AMAZING and stayed up all day, which is saying a lot bc it turned out to be the hottest day of the year! My stylist was Sarah - nice, friendly, professional. Can't remember my sister's stylist, but she was also wonderful. We received tons of compliments (especially from the bride) and looked great in pictures! Best of all, they gave us a set price when we made the appointments - there was none of that BS ""updo's starting at $60"" and then finding out at the end that it costs $115 because of long/thick hair (which both my sister and I have). We only wish we had known about this salon sooner so that all the bridal party could've used them! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more
