The doctors are nice but don't really take your concerns seriously. The wait time is at least an hour every time.
But my real beef is with BILLING!
I am being dead serious when I say more than four times I have gotten a bill 1 1/2 years later. I went to the doctor when my husband had a job and was making good money, we didn't have insurance but we had money. A year later, after my husband had lost his job and we had no money, I got a surprise $500 bill. Then more surprise bills continued to show up every three months or so. Then I got on my parents insurance for pregnancy and went to the doctor(I shouldn't have gone back!) and my insurance paid everything but the part the office covered. We moved shortly after and I got a bill several months later that my insurance said THE DOCTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR and paid it while asking the office for my balance so I wouldnt have any more surprise visits. They tried to explain to me that it takes awhile to figure out. Confusing right? Especially since I went to three more doctors throughout my pregnancy and guess what?! I got no bills and was given a statement within a month. Now today, exactly 1 1/2 years later I get a phone call from the billing lady threatening to send me to collections. I admit I was rude, but why hadn't I gotten a bill? I told the lady she needed to do her job and she said I needed to learn to pay my bills. I told her my address and said I would pay it when I actually see it. And why the hell were they sending bills to my parents address where I have never lived NOR listed on my contact info. Yea, they were crossing my info with my mom's info, which is probably illegal.
Either way, I AM SO TIRED OF GETTING SURPRISE BILLS YEARS LATER!!
I am sure I will get another one in six months.
P.S They sent my sister to collections two days after she had paid her bill. You WILL get screwed and when life gets hard you will get a surprise $1000 bill that you are not responsible for but have to pay because they like to send people to collections.
