Do not buy from Sears Outlet -- they are completely incompetent.\r

On September 23, I bought a freezer from the Elgin outlet store. They were great at upselling me on a supplemental warranty, and they disclosed cosmetic damange to the unit, which was fine with me.\r

On September 28, I cancelled the order, because they had made three attempts to deliver and had failed each time. In fact, each time, they had called to schedule the night before, and then called back the morning it was to be delivered to apologize for being unable to deliver it. \r

The woman who took my cancellation order kept trying to talk me in to not cancelling. We spent probably twenty minutes on the phone going round and round about YES, I did want to cancel. Finally she agreed to cancel it and said it would be up to ten business days until I received a refund. Furthermore, I should call the store directly to get a refund for the supplemental warranty.\r

Now, about ten business days later, I have received the refund for the warranty, but not the refund for the appliance. I called this morning and was told that the woman who spoke to me about cancellation had cancelled in the delivery system, but not put in for the refund.\r

I will have to wait at least another three business days for the refund. \r
\r
Given that they made three incompetent attempts to deliver the freezer, I wonder how many attempts it will take them to actually issue my refund.\r

Bottom line -- I will not be buying anything from these folks, and I suggest you do not, either.
