What is wrong with these people on here that are leaving such horrible comments? We have been to this place numerous times, at least once a year for the last 9 years. We will continue to go back as it is the only place that does not frown on 2 adults and 4 children, ages 10 and younger, being in the same room. (The Sea Gypsey, just down the road from the Sea Gull, expected us to put our 5 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son in an adjoining room, alone. I think not!)\r

We have never arrived to find a dirty room. If you are that nit picky, stay home. If you find a little mold along the window sill, that is to be expected. You are at the beach, which means there will be moisture in the room. You turn the heat on in the evening and Voila! you get a present over time. If you don't want to look at what you might find, take some disposable cleaning wipes with you and wipe it all down. \r

There are ample towels in the room. Yes they are motel towels..... so what. Bring your own if you expect thick and cushy. By the way, they do not provide shampoo or conditioner, either. Not a big deal for us as we always bring our own, anyways.\r
\r
The room that we get has 2 queen beds in the main area, a dining table and chairs, microwave, small refridge, TV with DVD/CD/Cable, small coffee pot, a seperate room with a full bed, closet and dresser. Our children love it because they can open the windows and climb onto the walkway to look at the surf. It has an absolutely breathtaking view.\r
\r
Beach access is a little tricky because the road/stairs that you travel to get to the beach are at a steep incline. However, we walk slower because of the kiddos so it's not that big of a deal to us. \r

Someone complained of sand or dirt on the floors..... Hello?!?!?! When you stay at the beach, you are going to encounter dirt and sand. Don't want to look at the mess? Bring an old shower curtain with you. Take your shoes off at the door, put them on the shower curtain and walk in barefoot. \r
\r
We have never been bothered by ""neighbors"", even being by the ice/pop/snack machines, we have never heard anything outside of our own space. \r

Bottom line is........ We get a motel room for one reason...... to sleep in and freshen up the next morning. If you want the Hilton, stay at the Hilton. I have stayed in one and hated it. I would prefer to support a smaller business that is happy to see us return. And guess what? We will continue to visit this place as long as they have our room available! I just got off the phone with the motel and we are planning on going tonight! Going to have a wonderful weekend!
