We eat here at least once a month. The best pad-see-ew you will ever eat. Fair prices, great selections, good all the way around.

Lovely decor, friendly staff 10/28/2008

I went in looking for a bowl Tom Kah Gai - what I got was a bowl of watered down Tom Kai Gah...in my humble opinion, barely fit to eat. I ordered a side of white rice to fill it out and make lunch a little more palatable. The Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Certainly not enough to bring me back. However, the manager was charming and I should have voiced my concerns, but did not. As a former restaurant person, this was not the correct approach to have taken and this is likely not the best forum for discussion. However, there were others who voiced the same concerns and I want them to know that their judgements were not out of order.\r \r I've been working on my own recipe for this wonderful soup..it doesn't call for water as the liquid of choice...but chicken broth...didn't seem to taste that at all...nowhere apparent.. It took a serving of rice tand a little sauce to make it even palatable.\r \r The ambience is lovely in this strip mall location...and I think with some attention to the menu, paying some attention to the comments in these reviews..perhaps the level of the food can come up to match the decor.\r \r It would be nice to see a lovely estaurant come up to it full potential.\r \r more

""Farong"" Friendly? Yes. Great Thai? Sorry, No. 8/5/2008

I'm 1/2 Thai. I was born in Thailand, but raised stateside. My mother is great cook, and well-known among the Thai circles here in Orlando, and I've been to many Thai restaurants here. My friends raved about this new place, so I had to try it. The good news is, this place isn't very fusion, so they stick to traditional Thai dishes, for the purists out there. More good news, they are very kind to unseasoned palates in the spice-heat department. The bad news is: some things are OK (the Pad See Ew), and others are blatantly diluted (I know better): The Tom Kha soup was watery. My friend liked her Yellow Curry, so I tried it, and that was watered down a lot, too. So was my other friend's Wonton soup. Literally, they all tasted like someone took the stockpot and dumped a bunch of hot water to make it all go farther. Maybe they're trying to cut costs? I can cook better Thai than this on a bad day, missing key ingredients. The prices are cheap, at least. There are much better Thai places in town. Pros: Good Service, Cheap Prices Cons: Diluted, Mediocre Food more

Absolutely best thai in town! 4/23/2008

An Orlando Sentinel report recommended this one to me and I have to say - best Thai in Orlando!\r The food is authentic, spicy and tastes great. The service still needs work and hey, they are in a strip mall across from fashion square, but if you want good thai - go here! more

What A RESTAURANT!!!!!!!! 1/16/2008

Don?t be fool by the exterior. Walk inside the restaurant and you'll be surprised why most people love this restaurant. Not only the food is excellent, but also the service. The great atmosphere is the reason why I keep coming back to this restaurant. Pros: great food, great service and great atmosphere Cons: easy to miss the restaurant more

Nice food presentation...... 11/6/2007

Other than that, nothing really makes this place stand out from any other place in town, besides the fact that it is modern looking and well decorated inside. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine and an order of spring rolls. 5 minutes later another woman came by to ask us if we would like to order drinks and an appetizer, we told her we already had done so. We were finished with the spring rolls before our wine came out. Spring rolls were very average, and the peanut sauce was more like peanut butter than a sauce. I ordered the phad thai.....spicy, but the waitress talked me into getting it medium and putting the hot spice on the side. I used all the hot spice plus some that was on the table and it was still not that hot. It was however very sweet. My boyfriend ordered the beef fried rice, and the only thing he liked about it was the portion and quality of the beef was good, but not the flavor. I would go back and maybe try other dishes because nothing was bad, just nothing blew us away either. Pros: Cute inside, good prices Cons: service a little off, bland items that we tried more

Cozy spot, great menu, and good service 10/4/2007

Here's the real draw... this place has managed to take the average thai restaraunt (inexpensive food, mediocre presentation, and blah or bad decor) and turn it into a great place for a quiet dinner. The food is excellent, great presentation (certainly at least for Thai food), and great atmosphere in the resaraunt. The service was ok (on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 6), but not amazing.\r \r Great place for a date or quiet dinner. It's also inexpensive so if you don't want to spend a ton but want a good dinner check it out :). Pros: Ambience is good, Food is excellent, and value is great! Cons: Service could be a little better, but it wasn't bad. more

Copy Menu in town! 7/4/2007

Well, first of all, from my experience i think most of items in the menu is pretty much the same with Siam Orchid Restaurant plus G&G Thai Cuisine together. Why don't you guys create new menu by yourself ? Moreover,at the grand opening day, the food was so great, but last week i went to dinner with my family, the food was so aweful!\r It's not the same at all, i don't know what happen in the kitchen ? Do they change the chef or what? I'm really upset !\r We'll never ever goback again !\r more

Excellent food and great service. 3/28/2007

I'm no expert on Thai food, but I do think myself somewhat experienced on food in general and restaurant atmosphere. This was a great experience. The food was excellent, especially the fried cheesecake! The service was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful for our group. It was very intimate and classy, yet accepting of the fact that we brought 9 people. more

Love this restaurant!! 3/23/2007

I'm a seafood/spicy food fan. I've tried every Thai restaurants in Orlando, this one is the best ever!! I love the ambiance there: the music, the decoration, and most importantly- the food is awesome! Try the crab and cheese wonton for appetizer, followed by papaya salad, and softshell crab in curry sauce, which are my favorite! The place is nice enough for a serious date, the inside decoration is as good as a fine italian restaurant. Plus, the service is wonderful! Pros: food! food ! food! + service! service! service! more

Fried Cheese-Cake -> the best desert I ever had in my life!!! 3/23/2007

It is a great place to enjoy a thai meal. The personal is more then friendly and helpful, the food is awesome and the prices are moderate. Highly recommended. I don't have a lot of experiences writing reviews, but I hope that some people will get the message: try this place out! more

Perhaps the best Thai in the country 3/23/2007

I've had Thai food at quite a few places, but I must say that this is the best I have had anywhere. The food is excellent, the prices is reasonable, the service is great, and the ambience is cozy. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I have returned repeatedly, and would encourage you to try it out. more
