All the restaurants in Big Sur are expensive. Expect to spend $100 on dinner for two people, and this was no exception. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated, but we got this weird sort of pretentious vibe from the host and a little from the waitress. the bottom of the menu even has some slogan about ""no fake allergies"" that I'm guessing is supposed to be a fun statement, but just seems negative for a restaurant's credo. It wasn't pretentious as in stuffy, but more pretentious as in ""you're not the right kind of cool person to eat here."" Pros: Food food food. and nice atmosphere Cons: somewhat snotty vibe from the staff. more

Great pancakes! 10/9/2005

Stop by for a to go coffee, pastery or desert. Great brunch - pancakes are amazing. The only downside is the cost to eat there. However, every place in the area is just as expensive. Best value in the area. Great friendly service. Pros: food, service, value Cons: cost to eat there more
