About three years ago my family bought a $20.00 gift card from Sea Schor at their old address: 400 West Dundee #16. Thursday March 19, 2009 I entered the store to use this gift card. I first asked the clerk if he had frozen worms (fish food), he rudely replied, we do not carry that. I then asked if he could order the food, the clerk then rudely replied, ""we are a saltwater store that food is a freshwater thing, we do not deal with freshwater."" At this point it was clear the clerk did not want me in his store nor did he like me as a customer. I continued to look around the store to find something to use my gift card on. I selected a digital temp gauge for $30.00 knowing I would have to add $10.00 of my money to my purchase. I approached the counter where the clerk was, put my product on the table, and pulled the gift card out of my pocket. The clerk said the card is only good for $20.00 off a $100.00 purchase. Not only was the card originally purchased as a gift card, no where on the card does it say $20.00 off a $100.00 purchase, nor is there an expiration date. The card states: $20.00 Gift Card with the name of the store, store address, and phone number. I was extremely irritated with how I was being treated and insisted the clerk accept the gift card. The clerk told me to leave his store right now before I call the police. He also stated, ""I did not like the face you gave me when I said we do not carry frozen worms."" I told him to call the police right on the spot with intentions of reporting this fraudulent act when the officer arrived. After walking out of the store the clerk followed us out of the store with pen and paper in hand requesting our names. He then began writing down our license plate. There were also other customers present during this embarrassing moment. We exchanged some words of anger and quickly left the store front in our vehicle in disbelief of how we were treated. I am in disbelief of the preposterous treatment we endured.
Cons: Worst Experience!
