Used to be a great BBQ joint. In the last 2 years or so has gone downhill. Same with the service. At one time was about the best place in Broward county, no more. I go to Flannigans now for good ribs. more

New Management seems to have made the difference. When I ordered my sliced pork sandwich, the server suggested, "Why not try it on garlic bread?" I agreed and believe me was I glad that I did. What a great sliced port sandwich! And for the record, the Cole Slaw was one of the freshest, tastiest Slaw's I've ever had. Thank you Scruby's of Pembroke Pines! more

Love the baby back combo specials. We get the ribs with the beef or chicken breast. All of the BBQ sauces are great. The staff is friendly, but you can tell they work really hard; we have never had bad service though. The sides are great too--this is the only place the hubby will eat baked beans and I will dig in to some cole slaw! Yes the ribs are a bit fatty, but they melt in your mouth and fall off the bone. I hate fatty cuts of meat, but these are some darned good ribs. more

When we entered the very unassuming location - part of a strip mall - we were not greeted by a happy hosts. She looked very bored with her job and it showed. After being sat, we asked the waitress what appetizer she would recommend and she clearly did not want to work with us either. My son asked for milk and they were out so I ordered him a lemonade. When she brought it, my 4 year old asked politely if he could have milk. She said "no, drink the lemonade". I thought, okay maybe I didn't hear her right. My son asked later if he could have one of the balloons they use as "decoration". She snapped "NO". Needless to say - no tip. Horrible service.\r The food was nothing exciting at all. We had pulled pork sandwiches and fries. Fries had no flavor at all - not even salt. \r Very bland and would not go back. more

I had lunch here yesterday and the ribs were disgusting. I am not sure where they get their meat from but I would not recommend this place to anyone. A friend recommended scrubys to me and I was very disappointed. It seems that the food was already prepared ahead of time. Ribs had a very odd taste. I will never eat here again. more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE PEMBROKE PINES LOCATION\r \r We went there this evening and were seated promptly. The sauces on our table were not correct, we had to correct that ourselves.\r \r The food was, well what it was. The entrees were bland and the meat over cooked with poor smoke flavor.\r \r The sauces are molasses based so they are sweet, the peppery vinegar sauce is great.\r \r The fries were bland, the sides however were outstanding. The fried okra and corn nuggets err fritters were fantastic.\r \r The server had an attitude at first but warmed up later in the meal.\r \r I will try the Tamarac Location before I down or approve of it.\r \r There are better BBQ places around here, so for Dixie Pig over in East Broward is by far the best. more

Just awful...I won't be going back. I've given them two chances to serve me a better dish and they've failed. The BBQ beans were tasteless this time (I use to LOVE their beans and even ordered double beans). \r \r The "pulled pork" was chunks of fat pork, but tasted good. The wait staff was awful...never saw our waitress after we were brought our food and had to get up to leave before she even brought our check.\r \r Sorry, you just lost my interest. more

My family has been eating at Scrubys on Univ Dr and Pines Blvd for at least 15 years. Used to have great service and food now, not so much. This establishment has gone way downhill fast. The last time i ate in the resturant the waiter was way more concerned with hitting on the hostess and talking to a table of his friends than waiting on us. We ordered and waited and waited and waited for our food. Meanwhile order after order was filled for takeout . When our food was finaly brought, the fries were cold and the bbq chicken was dry and severly overcooked. The fried chicken fingers were cooked until very dark. Today my wife brought home take out, which I couldn't even eat. Same food, prepared the same way. I called to complain and was offered a store credit to come back and eat some more crappy food. Too funny! Scrubys has seen the last of me and my money. more

I had the ribs and sides lunch special and it was delicious. I'm not a big fan of BBQ, but this is definitely way BBQ is suppose to be. The ribs were so tender and the sauces are great. The baked beans were okay but a little too sweet for me.\r \r If you visit during lunch, I think they have specials so the prices are pretty reasonable. 7.5/10\r \r Yum Yum! more
