STAY AWAY FROM SCRIBS AND THE OWNER! An absolute rip off of a place. Went in for simple machine work to install a brand new LA Sleeve in my KTM Cylinder Head. Initially quote $150, then it became $200. Anyways, he (Rob) screws up the install of my ""correct"" sleeve. Then makes deep nicks in the top and bottom mating surfaces of the Cylinder head. Goes out and buys another sleeve (WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION), which is a wrong one and installs in my Jug and now none of the ports match. I took pics of my sleeve before giving to Scribbs and it's totally different than the one he buys. Then he blames it on me for him buying the wrong sleeve. Tries to charge me the full $200 to get my unusable parts back. I was able to get my parts back for $100 after arguing with him.\r \r I now have an unusable cylinder head, I am out $100. I am out $120 for the new sleeve I initially had him install and he ruined. I've never seen such terrible machine work in my life and he claims it can all be cleaned up. Yeah, deep gouges on mating surfaces. Had to go on eBay to replace my cylinder head for almost $300. I am literally out $500 trying to support the local economy when I should have sent it to the pros at Los Angeles Sleeve. \r \r I wouldn't have taken the time to write all this review, but wanted everyone to know about my experience there. These guys ripped me off big-time. I brought in my motorcycle and told them very explicitly not to do any work until they first gave me an estimate so I could decide whether it was worth it or not. They promised they would but went ahead and did a bunch of work without ANY approval and then when I complained they lied and said I authorized it over the phone. Am I bitter? Damn right I am! They refused to give the bike back without me paying for the UNAUTHORIZED work and they didn't even do it right. DO NOT TRUST THEM Pros: They work on older bikes Cons: ripped me off and lied about it more
