The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when compared to nearby scrapbook stores. The building itself is clean, enormous and packed with a great selection of papers and embellishments. The aisles aren't cluttered, there's plenty of room, and everything is always very organized and clean. The staff is super helpful, especially when you're working on a specific project. The prices are fair, especially when you weigh in the selection of papers, etc. I wish they sold paper stacks, but for specific projects, the Scrapbook Tree is THE place to go. I agree with other reviews, the owner is RUDE!!! She is snippy, sarcastic and often times nasty! The other older staff members are rude as well. BUT, and this is a really big BUT!!! :), the store itself is fabulous!! The ideas alone could be printed in their own publication!!! There is a staff member, Jenna,who is helpful and SOOOO talented!!! Her help and talent alone will make me continue to shop there. The store is beautiful and WELL ORGANIZED!!! Yes, it is organized by vendor. That is not so that it is easier to stock. I have witnessed them shifting product so that there is enough room for a product line to stay together. That is no easy feat in a store that LARGE AND WELL STOCKED! Companies produce a line so that all the products coordinate; paper, stickers, chipboard, rub-ons, etc. Everything you need to complete a page is kept together. This is how it should be. Why would I want to shop by theme (which they do have some areas by theme also) when I can shop by product lines? Besides, they do have the front of the store set up with all new product and in season themes! It all comes down to this, YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER SELECTION, AS MANY PAGE SAMPLES OR TALENTED TEAM ANYWHERE!!! TAKE SKETCHES!!!! I am trying to find the words to describe how much I detest this store and the owner. It's big and they have a lot, but that is where it stops. When this store moved down VanDyke to a larger location we were all pretty excited to try it out. Soon after they re-opened we went in to crop. Soon we found that they had the store set up by vendor not by theme. That means every time we stop scrapping and go out into this huge store to look for something, lets say for example, birthday related, we have to go through the whole darn store to find something, thus spending to much time looking rather than scrapping. Most, or should I say ALL other stores set up by theme. It makes it easier on the consumer. So as we were leaving the owner, (this is my first experience with her), asks me what I think of the store and I tell her how she has it set up will deter me from coming back and she gets down right snippy and mouthy with me telling me that it's much easier for them to stock. I understand that, but shouldn't you be making it easier on us your customer, she didn't like that and told me she would take me off of her email list. YIKES, she's the one who asked my opinion. It's obvious she didn't really want it. Does this store have a lot of merchandise, yes. Does this store have good customer service, NO NO NO!!! RUN, go anywhere else. We have a ton of stores in this area, this store should be a last resort. I don't even know if I'm getting my point across, the staff at this store is HORRIBLE! Like your bothering them if you have a question or need help... Seriously, if you need a good store for scrapbooking supplies, check out Stampin and Scrapin Paradise, 23 and Card Road, Scrapbook Emporium, 21 Mile and Hayes, The Little Scrapbox, between 22 and 23 Mile off of Hayes, Archivers on Schoehnerr Road by Lakeside Mall and many many more in the surrounding area. THIS STORE IS AWESOME!!!! They have a HUGE store! Their solid paper wall is something to see - practically any color you could need - they have it. Their tool wall is what they love. If it doesn't work - they don't carry it. Better to have something tried and tested. If you don't know how to use something - an associate in the store does and they will demo anything and then let you try (makes me very happy)! SPECTACULAR IDEAS - bring your camera!!! They have all kinds of layouts - from the simple to the over the top - there is somthing for everyone. DO YOU LIKE KITS??? They had so many kits I couldn't believe it and every Monday there is a ""MONDAY MAKE AND TAKE!!! Their classes are awesome!! They focus on their SKETCH CLUB - they have moved towards helping you get your pages done - great idea!!! (You've got to take the sketch class first!) They have everything a scrapper needs. I spend hours in there when I go in...before I know it my husband is calling asking me when I'm going to be home!! You can't beat all the NEW PRODUCT!!! It seems like there is a new product or new idea everyday. IF you are a self proclaimed scrapper or a beginner you have to see this store... better than all the others in the area!!! They aren't organized by theme (cats, dogs, camping), but by company - I like it better because all the embellishments match the paper when I'm looking at a company's line.\r \r This store is AWESOME!!!\r \r YOU THINK YOU KNOW...
