Do not use these nasty toxic chemicals on your lawn !!! Scotts was recently fined $160,000 for intentionally polluting water in Pennsylvania. Again, they were fined $4.5 MILLION dollars for falsifying records and tainted bird seed. Try calling to get info on the chemicals they use.. It's a secret - that ought to tell you a lot. It's not safe, it a lie! more

They LIE 1/28/2009

Having decided the service was overpriced, I decided to cancel. When they called to schedule a service I informed them of this. The individual told me I was paid up through the service that he was trying to schedule so I allowed them to schedule it. I was subsequently charged for the service. Their management ignored me with a ""too bad"" approach when I called to complain and they have sent the bill to collections. I am disputing the collection and filing a case with the organization for complaints whose name Citysearch will not allow me to include in this review. Beware this company!!!!!!! We were supposed to be notified before each yard treatment -- never notified despite having called them to remind us. We have dogs who were subjected to their chemicals. Unethical!!! Avoid at all costs!!! 6/10/2008

I can not recommend Scotts. They were to call prior to each application, for the safety of our dogs, and receive permission to make an application. We moved out of town with our house on the market. They called and left a voice mail with whoever was assigned our phone number, after our move. Obviously, we did not get the message, nor did they have permission to make the application. They then made the application at our vacant house. The bill was forwarded to our new residence. When we called to complain, their response was ""too bad"". I WOULD RECOMMEND AVOIDING THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! Cons: Poor business ethics more

Best Lawn Service I've had in Denver...period! 12/26/2007

I have lived in Denver for about 12 years and have tried a lot of different companies to take care of my lawn. Ican honestly say that Scotts Lawn Service is absolutely the best company in the area. I was a little reluctant at first because they cost a few dollars more than what I have paid in the past, but it's money well spent and the results are worth more than the little extra cost! Thank you Scotts for finally offering a service worth paying for!!! I will never use another company again. Pros: Results and the people Cons: really? None! more

Scott's Lawn Service states that they will notify you before performing any service, yet they failed to notify me of two services this season. This June I was not notified at all. In September I requested to not have the basic service performed but instead the fall areation and seeding. They came out and applied the basic service anyway. Both times I called and complained, both times they did not seem to care or offer any apologies. Just beware that you can request what you want, but in the end they will do whatever they feel like. Cons: Scotts Lawn fails to follow directions and very expensive more

DO NOT HIRE! 10/17/2006

Worst lawn service ever. I cancelled my service and they continued to come (without calling ahead as I had requested). They sprayed my lawn without leaving notice or a bill so I had no idea they were there. This endangered my dog - who was eating grass that had chemicals on it unbenounced to me. They then proceeded to mail 2 bills and sent them to collections. This is all AFTER I cancelled my service. Cons: they do not cancel service when requested. more
