I was excited about this place opening in Norman, because it seemed like a real professional salon, which we are lacking here in town. I asked for a stylist who knew how to work with curly hair, as I have curly hair and like to wear it naturally- not straighten it. I was told two girls were available. I made an appointment with one about two weeks in advance. Twice before my appointment, the salon called me and asked to change my appointment. Very unprofessional, but fine, I needed a haircut so I went with it. At the salon the stylist would not work with my hair curly. She said she had to straighten it to check the cut, even though I did not want it straightened. A true expert styler of curly hair can cut the curly hair dry and doesn't need to straighten it to "check the cut." After she straightened it I asked her to please style it curly, since that's what I wanted. She was pissed about this, and did a horrible job. I can do better myself at home. A few weeks after my appointment, the salon called me out of the blue, to tell me that this stylist had been fired and wanted to know my experiences with her. I was honest. I was not offered ANY incentive to return to Scott Risk. In my opinion, if a stylist leaves a salon, the salon should offer the customer a discount to keep that customer with a new stylist. I wasn't offered anything. The exact same thing happened to my mother, who also went there and saw a completely different stylist. Another one fired, and no incentive offered to my mother to keep her as a customer. Unprofessional. The place obviously has management issues.
Pros: I don't know
Cons: Everything
