I really appreciate how they go out of the way for my family!\r I have lived in Gaston County my whole life and I been to many of the eye doctors there. Dr. Scott is the only one who will stay with you and take the time to answer every question you have. He and his staff are wonderful people! My whole family now goes to him and no one else! more

I think that the staff and Piedmont Eye Care as so wonderful!! They help me so much from answering my questions to helping me pick out glasses!! I really appreciate how nice they are! more

I used to go to Lencrafters to get all my glasses but one day I was having issues with my eyes so I tried to get an appointment like asap and Piedmont Eye Care fit me in. Their doctor doesn't rush you, he tries to take time so you understand everything. He was absolutely wonderful!!! Then I was looking at glasses and they are $500 less then what I had been spending! So my wallet loves them too!!! more

Dr. Scott is fantastic. Not only is he young, hip, and fun, but he's extremely knowledgeable. \r \r This was my first eye exam in about 8 years - I've never needed vision correction until now. I noticed myself getting a headache every day at work, found myself squinting at the movies, and driving at night became mildly dangerous. Dr. Scott put me at ease. He explained every part of the exam in detail so that I would understand why that part of the test was needed. For a glasses newbie, I appreciated her automatic explanation and patience while answering my 1,346 questions.\r \r It turns out I needed glasses, badly. Dr. Scott turned me over to Pat and she went around pulling frames that would look good on my face. I ended up with a chic pair of Vera Bradly frames that were fairly budget friendly. My insurance picked up about 2/3rds of it, so thankfully I got out of here for under $300, which I thought was very reasonable considering the quality of frames and the special coating for astigmatism that one of my lenses needed.\r \r My entire experience here was top notch. The entire staff was awesome, you can tell they love what they do. You won't get this level of service at a budget shop. more

I have been going to Piedmont Eye Care for almost 20 years! They have such a friendly staff and are so helpful! They can help you pick out glasses that look good! They don't make you feel pressured to buy anything. But, the doctor is wonderful! He takes his time and makes sure you have a thorough eye exam. He answers all your questions and makes you feel comfortable, which at a doctors office rarely happens anymore. I tell all my friends and family to go there so they don't get ripped off like other eye doctor offices around, or like Walmart end up getting cheap glasses that don't last. more

I have just moved to gastonia and I was looking for a place to take my family, my daughter needs new glasses, and a friend told me about Piedmont eye care. So we went and they were so friendly! The doctor is so thorough, he made sure we understood what he was doing through every step. I was really impressed. I have never been to an office that was that kind and considerate. You can tell we are in the south! I friend recommended them to me and I would recommended them to anyone!!! more

Great service by the entire staff. Our family's experience with this office was excellent. The doctor was fantastic, spending the time to answer our questions and gave us one of the best eye exams we have ever received. We were very happy with assistant who helped us with our eyeglasses. She made getting new glasses enjoyable. more

Dr. Scott cares for my mother, who has glaucoma and cataracts. He does an excellent job explaining these diseases to both of us. It seems like now a days very few doctors spend time to explain the disease processes to my mother like Dr. Scott does. My mother is elderly and we have been to a couple different eye doctor in Gastonia and Belmont but Dr. Scott is the only one that put in the time to help my mother understand everything that was going on in the examination. She normally hates going to the eye doctor but now she does not mind it. We are so thankful to the doctor and staff of Piedmont Eye Care for helping my mother with her eye. Pros: LOWEST PRICES IN TOWN I CHECKED!!! Cons: none! more

I had my lasik done several years ago and have been extremely happy. In my opinion, Dr. Scott offers the best technology for a very reasonable price. The office was busy but in my opinion that is a good thing - that just means he's had more experience! And when I'm talking about my eyes - I want the most experienced guy in town! I recently changed eye doctors, my last eye doctor was terrible. When I went to Piedmont eye care in Gastonia by the library and museum, I was immediately consumed by the staffs friendly nature and they were so helpful. They helped me find a nice pair of glasses that I have received a number of compliments. When I went back to see the doctor, he was so good at explaining everything and in a way that I could understand. I would definitely recommend this eye care to anyone. It has made me feel more comfortable about going to the eye doctor. Pros: Helpful, friendly people and great service more

The staff of this place is not friendly and they will try and rip you off. They will not tell you what you are paying for and you will have hidden charges. The staff treated me like a number and not like a person. In addition, the office is not welcoming and does not make you feel comfortable. The doctor wasn't really the problem, more the staff that work for him. I advise you to chose another eye doctor for that reason. Cons: Poor customer service more

Piedmont Eye Care was one of the best eye care experiences my family has ever had. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. They even handled some complex insurance issues for us that was beyond the duty of an eye doctor's office. They were more helpful than my own insurance company.\r \r The eye exam by the eye doctor was the most comprehensive eye exam we have ever had. He was thorough, trusting and caring. He spent time with each member of our family explaining our options and answering all of our questions. He did a complete eye health examination looking for eye diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts. He did not rush us in and rush us out like most of my past experiences with eye doctors located in shopping centers.\r \r The optical portion of the office was larger than the shopping center optical stores. They have thousands of eyeglass frames of all styles, shapes, & colors. We were able to find higher quality eyeglasses that was more comfortable for a lower cost than what we purchased in the past at the mall. My eyeglasses were a better quality and cost about $130 less than the what I spent at one of the area's chain optical stores last year. \r \r My daughter was fit by the eye doctor with contact lenses. He spent the time to explain what the best options would be for her eye condition and let us participate in her medical care decisions. She has never been happier and her school grades have gone to straight A's now that she can see properly.\r \r My husband and I have seen eye doctors since we were small children for glasses, contact lenses, eye injuries and eye diseases and it is our family's opinion is that Piedmont Eye Care has best eye doctor and staff that we have ever experienced. The office is equipped with the latest technology and equipment. The office is easy to get to on Garrison Blvd. with plenty of parking and evening hours making it a pleasure to get eye care. Piedmont Eye Care in Gastonia is an amazing place. They have a great doctor and a very helpful staff. My experience was better there than at any other eye doctor in the county. I would recommend this place to all of my friends because I know that they well get the best service there. Everyone was so friendly and nice, I could not believe it. So if your looking for a new eye doctor, I would recommend Piedmont Eye Care on Garrison! You will not regret it. Pros: Everyone was kind to you, the sevice was great. I choose this place because it was close to my home. My 3:00pm appointment lasted well over 2 hours. They pushed extremely hard to get you to buy glasses from them. The employees would walk away and make you wait for them to come back to check out in an attempt to get you to look and purchase glasses from them. I told them I was not buying glasses and she still insisted I look and try them on. I should have walked out then. I would not reccommend this place, there are many other eye doctors you can go through. When I callled the next week to get a copy of my prescription which they failed to give me before, again all I got was a rude answer back, not polite or helpful, but what did I expect from them. more
