White Pizza 5/9/2006

This is a favorite place of mine for dinner. They have a nice menu and they serve many different things. My favorite item here is their individual pizzas. They have this white pizza that is basically your normal pizza without the tomato sauce. It sounds kind of weird, but the combination of toppings and and the buttery and flaky crust is so good that you will not even miss the tomato sauce. The service here is great and though its not BYOB, they do serve $5 glasses of wine! more

nice dinner 4/16/2006

I have been there in probably 2 years, but have a very nice memory of going there. I'd always go with this pair of friends and we had a great time. The food was good, the service was great, we really liked it. After doing this review, I think I might have to go, because it is such a good memory! more

Voted Best Italian Upscale Restaurant under $30 by the Tribune

Owner Message
  • Scoozi's big, open space is large enough to hold all the flavors of Italy, and that's just what you'll find on its menu: Seasonal, fresh-tasting creations from Sicily to the Austrian border and everything in between.

The restaurant focuses on high quality and scratch cooking and the menu's perfect for sharing, so start with one of the fine, brick-oven pizzas ? maybe a white pizza bianca with homemade fresh mozzarella ? then move on to one of several antipasti, perfect for sharing with friends. Pasta's imported from Italy or made in house; order your favorite shape, or try one of the three-version plates of our kitchen-fresh gnocchi or ravioli.

Scoozi's Wine Spectator-award-winning wine list ranges from half-bottles to three-liter giants, and you'll find over 30 wines by the glass, as well as Italian specialty cocktails and cordials made in-house from fresh fruit.

Editorial
  • In Short
The high decibel level is part of the cheerful ambience at this neighborhood favorite. On weekends, wait times can be long, but the roomy bar provides a comfortable waiting area....
