Scoopy's Ice Cream & Deli

We've been going to Scoopy's through three owners and enjoy walking there.\r \r I have no concerns with cleanliness or sanitary issues. The bathroom is very clean as well.\r \r My only issue is the price. We've been going their for 5 years...the cones seem to be getting smaller while prices have gone up. \r \r They have a nice young staff who is very nice, and the owners are very nice people too. We've been there SEVERAL times and never had the experiences described by other posters.\r \r I will say that I wish the girls that worked there dressed a little more conservative. We were in there with my sons' little league team, and the girls who work there wear shorts that barely cover them...when they bend to make shakes and stuff, the coaches suddenly become interested in the ceiling, walls, floors, etc.\r \r I'm not a prude by any means, but I do think for a family place, the girls should be wearing shorts that follow the finger tip rule! As it is, their butts are barely covered. more

Scoopy's is located right down the road from where i live, i can easily walk there in 5 minutes tops. I walk into the ice cream store, and not only am i welcomed in by the wonderful staff, but smell this aroma which i would describe as cookies baking in an oven, being curious i ask what that yummy smell was, the girl answered and said it was waffle cones. They make their own waffle cones? wow, i immidiatly had to get one, and it was delicious. My son comes in weekly and gets a chocolate malt, he tells me that its the best hes ever had. Better then the other ice cream stores.\r \r They also have great deli sandwiches, they run about 6 dollars each and you get so much on them. Last week i got a Turkey Ruben i would have to say, this was the best sandwich i have ever had. It was very filling, there was so much turkey on it and the bread was huge! its deffinatly worth the money. \r \r i would deffinatly come back here!\r Pros: everything more

I went to Scoopy's partly due to the reviews I've found. The first time I was there I got a sandwich and salad from their deli menu. The ""Greek"" salad was generic and they neglected to inform me of the lack of Greek dressing until after I had paid for it. The sandwich was way overpriced for what I got. The bread they used is smaller than the normal bread bought at a grocery store, so the sandwich as a whole was gone after just a few bites. I decided to give Scoopy's another chance with their ice cream, since it seemed pretty crowded when I went there before. The girl working at the time did not know what she was doing, nor did she seem to care. I ordered a chocolate malt and a cone w/ chocolate ice cream dipped in cherry. What I got was a disgustingly sour chocolate-resembling drink and a cone with vanilla ice cream dipped in cherry. I think the milk they used for the malt had gone bad. As for deciding to give me vanilla ice cream instead of the chocolate that was ordered, she claimed they were out of chocolate... Which was a blatant lie, as chocolate ice cream was used for the malt and the tub was still sitting there with the other ice cream. Also, there was this middle-aged greasy guy who was wiping his nose with his hands while moving ice cream bins around, contaminating them with who knows what. I just left the place, amazed at how they could still be in business. Needless to say, I am never going there again and am warning others to avoid it as well... Wow this ice cream store is the best that i have ever seen!!! The ice cream is out of this world, The customer service is fantastic and their deli sandwhiches are to good for words!! If your looking for a really good ice cream Scoopys is the place to go!! I have been to many ice cream plalces but none of them are as good and CLEAN as Scoopys!!The Dairy Queen down the road is really gross!!Their employees are mean and snotty and the whole store is covered with ice cream stains! It makes me want to goo home and take a long bath!!! You can tell that all of their employees really enjoy their job and are highly trained!!!! I dont know why but i always judge a place by how their bathrooms are and Scoopys bathrooms are sooo incredibly clean!!! It looks like they wash them every hour!!! They smell like a bunch of flowers and look spotless!! Long story short this is the best ice cream destination ever!!! GOOD JOB SCOOPYS!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!
