Scontsa's in Nashua... is it a jewelry store, is it a home decorating store, is it a Shabby Chic exclusive retailer, is it a florist (looks like one when you first walk in)... I don't know what came first, but I think the Jewelry did given the history of the owner. However, regardless of the two businesses merged together as one - which makes zero sense to me, it's still a nice shop. The Shabby Chic line is featured in the Home Decor store - I actually think 99.9% of the home decor IS Shabby Chic - but I'm not complaining because I love the west coast designer, Rachel Ashwell, and I dig the cool pastel tones, cabbage roses, and white washed furniture. What I don't dig about Scontsas is how jam packed it feels inside, how aloof the staff are, and how they offer little variety - in other words, if you aren't a pastel color kind of person, you don't have a choice but to leave. I think they are expensive, but then again, they have to be since the Shabby Chic line IS an expensive line brought to us by famous celeb-designer Rachel Ashwell. However, all the Chic in the world doesn't make Scontsas an enjoyable place to shop because there is no connection between the sales staff and the customer. Packed, Limited Selection of "other" lines, and zero caring customer service makes Scontsa's a 3 out of 5 on my list. If they just warmed up a little and offered other lines, I think this store would be top notch.
