I have to say from experience that Scissorhands is the best barbershop I have been too. The eclectic atmosphere combines all the elements necessary to enjoy yourself while waiting for a haircut or getting one. The subtle classical elements blend in nicely with the up to date technology and the decor is absolutely on point. All the barbers are very skilled and enjoy working with you so that you are kept happy. The amusing shoe-shiner and the bosses add to this to create an atmosphere that is not only unforgettable but also unique. Their rates are extremely reasonable while their talent is unbelievable. I applaud Scissorhands Barbershop on their great success in creating in my opinion the best barbershop in New Brunswick. more

One star for UniCut...that is they are only great if you only want a buzz cut, which most anyone with some hand coordination can do at home with electric hair clipper, and some design like a G for the Giants on the back of your head. They can do whitewalls, but not a taper. They have obviously had no advanced professional training and do not understand different hair types, growth patterns and cowlicks. Yes, I even expressed my concern to the guy that I have fine hair with cowlick and pointed to the crown of my head. He assured me he understood. Nevertheless, the crown of my hair was cut as short as the back hairline. Same length in back from crown to hair line! That is not a taper! If you tell me you are a painter and can paint my car, but really only have experience painting houses have some integrity to admit this and do not take on the job. This place is not much different than any of the chain barber shops such as the Hair Cuttery. Guess all have to find the time to travel an hour out of my way to get a decent cut. more
