Science Museum-Bodyworlds 5/16/2006

The Science Museum in Saint Paul, MN is featuring a wonderful exhibit right now, Bodyworlds. This exhibit is worth checking out. I went on Mother's Day with my family. It features real bodies that have been stripped of their skin to show muscle systems, bones, and even artery systems. They are posed in different ways. For example, the exhibit features a runner, posed in a running stance of course. Some of the bodies even show skin...even including tattoes (that made it really real). There is a separate room with mother and fetus inside of her. Some may not want to check this out. This room also features several fetuses. All in all though, it was a very well done exhibit. It runs from now until September, so you do have time to see it. I think I'll be heading back with my fiancee's mother, who works in the medical field. more

Check it out 4/16/2006

If you have not been to the "New" Science Museum, I recommend that you check it out. If you remember the old one, this one has the same flavor, but is much better. I think it is worth it for the view of the river alone. My husband and I used to go there for dates, its a great place to learn about whether your interests are the same. Now we bring our son there (3 year old) and he loves it. more

Family Fave 4/14/2006

The science Museum is a great place for kids to learn, explore and have fun. We have been bringing our son since he was 3 and he is hooked. He loves the dinosaurs and scinece experiment type exhibits. They also have a mini-golf course and art-park on the roof thats a blast. One bonus is that if your or anyone in yourfamily has Minnesota Care insurance, has WIC, or is low-income and on any program, you qualify for free membership ..........for, you ready for this?.............$1 a person per visit. Not kidding, great deal. Parking costs more! lol. more

Another must see in St. Paul. Great way for the whole family to learn all kinds of things. There is the 3-D cinema and the that are great. Just remember to keep your glasses on at the 3D theater . There is so much for the kids to see and learn. The musical stairs were quite a surprise. I didn't realize the stairs we were walking on did that. Very cool to bring the whole family to, young and old. There is alot to learn even for the older generation. The kids loved exploring the different stations and learning how things actually work. To see that for themselves is something they won't forget. more

Fun Exhibits 8/18/2005

The science museum is a great place to take kids. They have a blast going through each of the different rooms. Everything is hands on and allows the kids to learn while having fun. The Grossology exhibit is great! In the summer the backyard is awesome too! The museums IMAX theater is a hit with kids and adults. We love going there. We just wish it was a little cheaper so we could go more often! more
