Science Center 4/15/2006

The Science Center of Iowa is really cool. I like the fact that they offer classes for the homeschool students as well. Be sure to check their schedule and you do need to register in advance for it. There is a fee to attend the center and the classes. The planetarium is really cool, but who doesnt like to gaze at the stars? more

The Science Center of Iowa, Des Moines 8/18/2005

Although the Science Center of Iowa is not new, it's not flashy by today's standards for new museums, and it's probably not the most popular Des Moines attraction. The Science Center of Iowa is, though, full of hands-on exhibits that teach things like static electricity, how volcanoes erupt, etc.. One of the highlights for people not as interested in science is still the laser show. Especially for a rainy day, the Science Center of Iowa is worth a visit, regardless of your age or interest in science. more

Who knew science could be so much fun. Also make sure you go into the space part and into the theater...it was awesome! more
