Schwinn City

RON IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND HAS NO CLUE ON HOW TO WORK ON BIKES! after calling the shop to see if they can remove a 1.5 headset from my frame, he said its no problem and i can do it. i get over there and he takes a 1 1/8 headset punch and starts hammering my 1.5 headset out. of coarse the tool slips and goes right into the bearing. this causes the metal shield on the bearing to get destroyed, causing the bearing to not spin anymore. so i confronted him on it ,and says "" well the bearing was pushed out"". i gave it back to him and he starts hammering it back in. then hands it back and says here you go, its fixed. the bearing was now destroyed and no longer running smooth. so i tell him that this is a problem and he has to replace it with a new bearing. he proceeds to grab my tshirt and pushes me out of the store! then grabs my brothers bike and throws it outside. I was SHOCKED! how can a bike shop owner mess up parts and then kick you out? DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY! he has NO knowledge about bike parts. and his service is terrible! then i went to BrentWoodBikeCo and they replaced my bearing.,they pulled the bearing out more

Schwinn City is under new ownership. This place seems to be more about making a buck rather than serving the biking community. I understand it is a business and needs to make money but the service is much slower, parts are more limited and the selection of bikes seems to have decreased. With more bike shops opening up here in Brentwood I don't feel so compelled to drive clear over to Antioch- it just isn't worth the trip. more
