Great plays, worth checking out 9/7/2005

The Schwartz Center for Performing Arts puts on many performances every year. They range from plays to dance recitals and are always very professionaly done. The variety of plays is a great feature, you can see Shakespeare plays and also plays that were written recently by playwrights, such as Cornell Undergraduates. The center itself is relatively new and the theater is very nice. Tickets are not that expensive. Going to a show there is a great experience and I would highly recommend it as a nice alternative to the usual partying. more

Best Theater in Ithaca 8/16/2005

The Kiplinger Theatre is a beatiful and elegant theater in the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts at Cornell University (seats up to 475) with top lighting and sound equipment. It's a wonderful and comfortable place to watch the Schwartz Center's productions in theater and dance. Our family has enjoyed many Shakepeare productions in the Kiplinger Theater (we especially liked The Comedy of Errors). It's definitely one of the the nicest places in Ithaca to watch a great production. more

Great performances 8/16/2005

If you have a chance when you are in Ithaca, NY, try to catch a play at the Schwartz Center. They have about 10 plays that they put on for the year with each lasting about 3 weeks. I have seen several plays there including Hamlet. The prices is really cheap, less than $20 from what I remember. I always have a good time there. The actors and actresses are actually pretty decent. You'll have a really good time. more
