@ scppounds I'm truly sorry for your experience at the S.O.C. I can tell you that if you know me, I surly would not wait until you were in the back of my store and out of what I supposed was your ear shot to say "" I'm watching those fu**ers"". If you walked into my store and earned the right to be treated as ""fu**ers"" then you got treated as such. I did not and do not suffer that nonsense. So. Make of that what you will about me, yourself and your friends. Educating a child on proper etiquette of handling comics to me is not considered insulting. What is insulting is having to have a stranger teach your child how to behave. For you and your friend it's different. That's cool. The fact that you pepper your comment with ""loser friends"" and ""(although very over-priced)"" says a lot about where you are coming from. I do agree that 2.99 and 3.99 and even 4.99 for comics are extremely outrageous prices. But, that is the SRP. I did not make those prices up. And, unfortunately for you I was not Amazon. I am glad the store closed. I have been in there several times and I found the owner to be an real *#!hole. He was always rude, snooty, and full of himself. He would laugh and joke with his dork buddies while being rude to his customers. I brought my, at the time, eight year old in and he asked the owner a question about Spiderman, Instead of giving him a decent answer he made a smartass comment to him, an eight year old. The guy was way over priced and carried nothing current. Everything had to be ordered because he was sure people were not going to pay. I am glad he closed down, he was an obnoxious ass. He needs to get a new line of work where he will not have contact with other people because he had no people skills. Oh, yeah he needs a hair cut the 70's are over. more

On several occasions me and my friends have entered this store thinking that this guy will treat us right this time but each and everytime he has proved us wrong. The only people he seems to be nice to is his group of friends that hang around the store talking to him all day (probably the people who gave the store 5 stars). Once me and a friend simply walked to the back of the store to browse some of his products and as soon as he thinks we cant hear him he says, "" I'm watching those fu**ers"" as if we came in just to steal and laughs to his loser friends. On another occasion he insulted my friend's son just for picking up a comic to look at it. Even though his store is great (although very over-priced) me nor any of my friends will step foot inside because of the way he has treated us. Honestly I've never been treated like this in any store before. Its a shame too because its the only close place that I can get comics or rare figurines, but I'll order my comics online and pay extra for shipping before I give one more cent to him. One star is too many for this guy. Hopefully once he finally drives all of his customers away someone who actually wants to deal with customers will buy the store. more

SoC is the best comic store ever due strictly to it's owner and manager. Not only does he go out of his way to get any product that I am looking for but he also helps me be a better person. I used to be very inconsiderate, but after I once peed on the seat in his bathroom and he made me clean it up, I have learned that I should be more considerate to others. So thanks SoC for helping me be more a better me!Pros: Taught me to be a professional male.Cons: 75% table should be 90% more

From the first time I ever entered the store, the owner has gone out of his way to not only help me as a costumer, but also as a friend. Everything is readily available and easy to navigate. The owner has a great personality, despite his love of Aquaman and the fact that he's slightly metrosexual, and an incredibly vast amount of knowledge of the product he says. Also, the bathroom on December 20th was nicely cleaned thanks to the kindness of a 32-year-old female customer who doesn't know when to use hyphens. Pros: Fair prices, good selection, great owner. Cons: He likes Aquaman. more

The owner always goes out of his way to help and will special order just about anything if it's available. Knew my name by the 3rd visit to the store and recalled what I liked. Knew enough to point out books that I couldn't believe I hadn't seen before. Incredible back stock with frequent sales. Compiled story arcs and miniseries are a bargain. The owner is very knowledgeable, and very friendly. I have shopped at many many shops and never been more impressed. I recommend soc to anyone who loves comics or hates comics. They will find some thing there to keep them comming back more

Horrible owner! Rude. Discourteous. Not fit to be around other humans. He also jacks up his prices! The owner actually asked me to wiped the toilet seat down. He inspected the bathroom after I used it! There were no paper towels in the restroom and my hands splashed on the toilet seat after I washed them. Yes, he asked me to wipe the toilet seat. I am a 32 year old professional female, and I was quite offended! I would not recommend my worst enemy to encounter this type of behavior from any store owner. Pros: high prices Cons: rude owner more
