I've eaten here for several years, food is consistiently great. I've eaten at other German restaurants (including Suppen Kuche) and the food is definitely lacking elsewhere. Bread is served with a delicious herbed butter, potato soup is not so hearty that it fills you up before the entree. Weinerschnitzel (breaded panfried veal cutlet) is hearty & delicately seasoned, and the braised red cabbage is perfect accompaniment, cleansing your palate after each bite. Nurnburger sausage was another tasty dish- if you've never had Authentic (German) sausage, you must try it. Their Goulash- a tender, saucy stew and Paprika Chicken, cooked in a mild creamy Hungarian Paprika sauce are others to try on return visits. Spaten or Franziskaner= two excellent beers for the food. If you can make it for lunch, do so- a great way to sample their dishes at a discounted price- same portions! Call to find out their hours!
Pros: Hearty authentic food, Good value, different atmosphere
Cons: can get crowded, may get over stuffed
