Greatest Care & Concern 2/24/2008

Dr Schmidt and staff show real concern. It's nice to be treated like a person and not a number. He has helped me with numerous medical problems over the past five years. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Pros: Worked with me when I had no insurance. more

Best doctor I have ever seen! Simply amazing care and sympathy for his patients! 7/17/2007

I have an anxiety disorder that had went years without being properly diagnosed. Also, as a result of a serious motorcycle accident, my old doctor had me prescribed Oxycontin for the pain. Once I was pretty much rehabilitated, yet still hurting from time to time, my old doctor still prescribed me the Oxycontin. Eventually, when I told my old doctor that I was afraid I would have a hard time no longer taking the Oxycontin, he just cut my prescription off completely and prescribed me Naproxen instead. Needless to say I started to suffer serious withdrawels from the Oxy's. With the help of Dr. Schmidt, and another doctor in Bedford, I was able to get on a medication called Suboxone for my Oxy withdrawels, and Doc Schmidt also diagnosed my SEVERE anxiety disorder, and got me on the right meds to calm me down. Pros: Carol his RN is also a very highly rated nurse in my opinion. Cons: None, great doc all around more

Put your expectations on hold when visiting this doctor, especially if you have breast cancer in the early stages without health insurance. This doctor told a specific patient (my mother) to go home and take a Motrin for the lump in her auxilery lymph node while noting in her file that he suspected breast cancer. She is now scrambling to get funding for care for advanced breast cancer; possibly IBC. My family is not revengeful. However, it is my duty to warn others when it could mean compromised quality of life. Pros: Dr. was willing to see patients without insurance Cons: Quality of care more
